It used to be that school ended at 12 or 13, when the kids had learned to read, write, and math. Then they were considered ready to work, and they were responsible for their money, and their lives.
Nowadays people in college are barely considered adults. It's illegal to work at a younger age, and we wonder why they act like kids?
Maybe there is some coloration between telling people to say in school until they're 25, being dependent on other people to tell them what to do and to provide for them, because they've barely had the chance to provide for themselves.
Yes, there are exceptions, but if you think about it, you quickly realize the exceptions are those we actually do consider to be adults at 21, because they don't act like kids.
And when I say they act like kids, I mean those who don't know how to be responsible.
You can be responsible and have fun in life, so I don't mean they need to be serious.

I sent my brother a video of our 2 month old making noises, wishing him a happy birthday, and he replied, "Yes, it sounds like a typical "happy birthday" in baby"
My brother is great!
☺️🤣🤗🥳

When people are being extra quiet to "not wake the baby", I'm over here petting my baby's head/cheek and he might stir a little but he's still asleep!
I have thoughts I want to share or questions to ask at night, but then I barely get any engagement. I'm guessing most people who follow me go to sleep before me, and then in the morning, other people's posts have pushed mine away, so when I have thoughts in the late evenings, it's more likely that I don't post them directly, hoping I'll remember them in the morning 😅
Do you ever filter yourself for when you post what?
I put our son down on the bed a bit away from where my hubby is napping and our son looked over at him and started smiling for a while. Then he started squealing... I'm starting to wonder if he was trying to wake my husband up on purpose 🤔 or if it really was just gas...
@FikaTimeBooks.com is a really good sleeper though, I'm not even sure he stirred. (I want to sleep like him!)
Whenever I think of something funny that I would like to post, but it's too private, I say it to my husband and then add, "it's going on our private relay" 😎 (not an actual relay)
Does anyone else have a "private relay" with their spouse? 🤔😃
I need to cut my baby's claws... I mean nails... 😅🤣
Our son is 2 months old today! 🥳👶
He has gone from being a kinda small baby, to a big baby. He has started smiling and laughing/giggling, and "talking" with sounds. He holds his head up more, but not fully yet.
He loves kicking his feet and getting the cover off of him and then complain about it being cold 🤣
He's rolled 360 degrees. He has started grabbing, and if he grabs my hair, and I ask him to let go, he does!
He loves his daddy @FikaTimeBooks.com
He picked up a substitute grandma at Starbucks since he hasn't met his real grandma's yet. 🤣
He's basically an international model, as he wooed some Korean tourists and one got a picture with him.
Plus, he's known on Nostr, so he's in the cool kids club too 😎
He has accomplished a lot for only 2 months out in the world!
