My lovely wife has fashioned her own loom and is currently weaving a rug out of a mixture of our unprocessed and processed sheeps wool. The unprocessed wool is straight off the sheeps back, and is filthy (although we have picked out all the poo and we will wash it later). It's amazing how much lanolin is contained in the raw wool, very greasy. Doug plays everything by ear, has never read music. Now he is a semi retired Luthier in Melbourne and focuses on playing classical guitar, excellently. There's so much I admire about this guy, he's the reason I have an abiding love of the guitar, and although Doug never made it to the "big time" he's lived a life centred around his music, and it doesn't get much better than that.
