I always thought psychology and the brokerage itself would be trying to make me lose all my money if I tried margin borrowing, but I haven't seen that at all in the few months I've been using it. The brokerage seems to prefer traders growing margin accounts, not blowing them up.

I can't believe I spent my life until this year fearfully avoiding brokerage margin. It's not scary at all if you can just be at least halfway responsible about how you use it. There's no need to let banks hold any dollars for you, you can keep absolutely all your money in Bitcoin and stocks and just use margin for withdrawing and depositing dollars of the bank's money instead of your own.
