I repeat, it's absolutely crazy that it's taking so long for nostr to move on from lightning to actual Bitcoin and Monero and doggie coin. * It's literally taken years just to get payment targets * Users still haven't actually set up payment targets * Users still haven't removed lightning addresses * "Zaps" on a per-post basis are still unsupported with "payment targets," we still need a way to generate unique wallet addresses for every post or identify posts by OP_RETURN so tips can be attached to specific posts instead of just general recipients

Even after posting this, I just got 50k sats stolen from me (at least temporarily) because I tried to overlook everyone here being too slow to upgrade from "lightning" and move some bitcoin into a "lightning compatible" wallet ("blitz wallet") to send some zaps. Good reminder why I don't zap people. If I can get the money back, I will not be zapping anyone, as you'd use real money instead of lightning if you really needed money. View quoted note →
