Yoko from Gurren Lagann is kinda the opposite of how she seems. At first glance, people seem to take her visual design as just cheap pandering to teenage males, because the show is blunt and obvious about her being "eye candy." But the show is blunt and obvious about it for a reason, and unlike many other anime, it doesn't do that with every main female character. All the other women from her village dress more normally. She's actually a deeply developed character, and her outfit isn't just cheap pandering, it's reflecting a couple major things about who she is: 1. She's quite trusting of her fellow humans - and VERY trusting of herself and her ability to handle situations. She's one of those people who has such absolute zero "social anxiety" that she makes a normal person look anxious by comparison. A chick that high-trust/low-anxiety might just wear a bikini when it's hot out. Kamina's outfit reflects the same thing about him, but people don't mention that because he's a man. 2. While you think the show is cheaply hacking male brains for attention, the character is actually doing that to the other characters she's surrounded by. People listen to her, she's a respected voice in her village. Being a high-trust, low-anxiety person helps with that. You know what else helps? Attention. Name recognition. Setting yourself apart quickly. She the character is actually doing the "cheap pandering to males" thing, while the show itself put all this thought into her. Both of these are real qualities a person can have, and the show is consistent about her having them. Most anime actually do cheaper pandering "eye candy" than this, Gurren Lagann just gets a bad reputation because people don't understand why it's so blunt and obvious. #anime #animestr

Before destroying them, I would offer the old racist piece of shit nostr devs the chance to make me leave nostr, by helping me find Digit. But what if Digit asked me to keep working on nostr? Like she once said, I'm not loyal. I would violate the deal without hesitation. The closest to "loyal" I can be, is not offering a deal I can't be sure I'd actually stick with.

I guess the major exception to the death sentence never being valid when there's enough food, water, etc., is if the crime involved killing people when there wasn't enough food. If you're doing shit you deserve to die for right now while there's not enough food, but you make sure it's other people instead of you dying, and nobody is able to catch you or stop you until there's enough food for everyone - you should still probably be killed for what you did when there wasn't enough food. Trump doesn't suddenly upgrade from "deserves to die" to "deserves to spend the rest of his life in prison safely" just because he kills enough other people, and not himself, to still be alive when we get out of global famine. Other than that, don't really see a situation where a "death sentence" in a world with enough food+water+etc is anything but a special murder method only for retards to use.

It's hard for the authorities in Maine to get me to say they all deserve to be killed after they gave me a safe place to go when I had to leave NY. But it seems like their "legalized cannabis" industry is designed to poison people. They caught "medical" retailers poisoning people and did basically nothing about it, while the "medical" places are held to LOWER standards than the "recreational" places. Yes, I typed that correctly, LOWER, not the fucking other way around. And the "recreational" places aren't good either. They seem to give all the cannabis business licenses to crackheads instead of potheads, and then give them extra funding to do shit like poison edibles, adding shit like "red dye number 40" and "natural flavors (but we won't tell you what ones)" to the ingredient lists. If you avoid edibles and stick with pure flower, "recreational" doesn't have the same proven safety issues as "medical," but it probably just has the same safety issues as unproven issues instead of proven. This would be life-in-prison level crime if we had enough food for everyone on Earth, but we don't, so these people probably deserve to die.
