Had a meeting with the director of operations. "You are the best worker we've ever had and if your patient, there will be a management spot open eventually for you here. For now how do you feel about a pay raise and cover people that have called in?" 🥳
If postpartum mental illness becomes a get out of jail free card for murdering your children, then by logic, anyone diagnosed with it should lose custody of their kids the same day.
People will mobilize against a tangible, visible threat to their privacy, but not against an abstract, diffuse system of economic extraction.
The system spent 50 years squeezing every drop of value out of human labor, broke the social contract, and is now shocked that humans are opting out or demanding more, so they're turning to AI as a last ditch Hail Mary to keep the machine running, without fixing the machine. The actual economy is held together by: Underpaid essential workers Gig workers living out of their cars Immigrant labor doing jobs nobody else will People working two jobs just to afford a studio apartment The dollar has lost 98% of its value since 1971. The social contract is in ICU. Corporations are begging AI to save them from the mess they made. So, you wanna change the system, but your hyped about Ai....🤣 The irony is almost too perfect.... "Revolutionaries" who want to burn down the old, centralized system are singing the praises of the very tech that might just be the most potent tool for automating and controlling that same system they want to burn down....
My drink was warm at work. And my snack was stuck too... So, naturally, I submitted geo tagged vending machine dispatch tickets to Continental support so fast that Pearl and Angela probably think I'm the actual Property Director. Keeping the Monster energy drinks at sub zero temperatures because lukewarm caffeine is a workplace safety hazard. While management is out here worrying about whether a mop bucket is five percent too wet, I'm single handedly keeping the facilities breakroom food supply chain from collapsing. I’ve essentially turned an entry level custodial shift into a full scale assistant corporate facility management operation out of pure boredom where I only make $15.50 per hour. I even made my own unofficial office in an unused part of the building with office trash that hasn't been touched since 2018. Complete with engineering, team building, and other books! Yay America! 🥳
Know what's exhausting? Having to strategize, build paper trails, and invent fake busy tasks just to protect my body and keep a middleman company from taking advantage of me, or firing me, takes more mental energy than the actual job itself! 🙄
I would like to thank the spammers for officially resetting my notifications so I just see the most recent. Having some breaks in my notification list is kinda nice! Please spam tag me at least once a day. Thank your for your attention to this matter.
My generation will be the first to die with more memories of other people's lives than their own. Don't worry. Keep scrolling.
The average millionaire is 57. Not 21. The average age to start a business is 43. Not 23. The average age to buy a house is 38. Not 26. The average age for a career pivot is 39. Not 25. Building an impressive physique takes 3 years. Not 90 days. The average successful business takes 5-10 years. Not 6 months. Not behind. Right on time.
Work is giving me extra tasks and I still end up sitting around hiding in unused offices for 3hrs of my shift because everything is done... 🙄 It's almost like nobody has a work ethic anymore.
Yes drinking beer everyday will shave some years off your life, but stress and depression will shave more. So have a lunch beer and a smile.
If Lindsay Clancy is found not responsible because hormones, mental illness, or medication made her unstable, women might want to be VERY careful celebrating that verdict. Because the law loves one thing... PRECEDENT. And precedent has a funny way of coming back around. Future Job interviews: "Are you currently hormonal?" Well... I'm a woman. Okay. Any medications? Why does that matter? Apparently it matters now. You see Lindsey Clancy trial? Police officer carrying a loaded weapon? Hold on. Better check the hormones and medication list first. Air traffic controller? Let's see the prescriptions first. Nuclear launch codes? Absolutely not. One bad hot flash mixed with the wrong medication and Canada is glowing. 💥 And female judges? That gets interesting. How can you determine whether someone ELSE is mentally competent while arguing that hormones or medication can make someone incapable of knowing right from wrong? And just WAIT until family court hears about this. "Normally we'd lean toward Mom. But apparently hormones and medication can make someone completely detach from reality and kill humans. Sooooooo Congratulations, Dad. You don't know the pediatrician's name, what they eat, or anybody's shoe size... But the kids are yours. 😂 Women spent generations fighting they are no different. Now imagine a defense attorney standing up and saying: "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury... My client is innocent because she's depressed. On drugs. And psychology out of control. She's a woman that took 13 pills on her own. Daily. For 10 years. And here's her CVS receipt." Holy moly. You can't demand equal authority and then ask for discounted accountability. Equal rights. Equal wrongs. Equal opportunity. Equal consequences. You don't get equality only when equality benefits you. Next week is going to be interesting! I am shocked to see so many women publicly acknowledge hate being mothers. Evil is on full display.
Stop asking me for advice I'm 35 years old stillistening to Taking Back Sunday. I'm going thru it as well
