These three arrows on a red field also known as the Anti-Fascist Circle, is the logo of the Iron Front (in German: Eiserne Front), a movement founded in Germany by the Social Democrats and the Workers' Party in 1931 to fight against the rise of Nazis (SPOILER: they didn't make it) The logo was designed by Sergei Stepanovich Chakhotin, a Russian born in Istanbul who, after graduating in medicine, first became Ivan Pavlov's assistant (yes, the one of the dogs that drool in response to a specific stimulus) and then studied the psychology of Nazi propaganda analyzing the mechanisms of grip on the people and trying, at the same time, to warn the Germans about what was happening but his warnings remained unheeded. Later he collected the results of this research in the book with the delicate title that leaves nothing to the imagination: "The rape of the masses". The Story of Sergei Stepanovich Chakhotin deserves a Netflix documentary. I redesigned the logo in a more modern way and it is available at these links: RED

I published this artwork which is the parody of a joke that Zerocalcare uses in his comics by writing it around the Nirvana smile which however becomes the cone of the Sammontana logo never mentioning Nirvana or Zerocalcare or Sammontana and the smile is an icecream now. Redbubble took my work down for copyright infringement but tells me that if I think it's a mistake or a parody I can fill out a dispute form, I do so and I reply that Redbubble "is unable to provide individual advice or give personal opinions on copyright, trademark, publicity rights or other intellectual property matters” and are very sorry in any case. I wonder why a graphic that doesn't mention Nirvana and doesn't want to pass as a Nirvana merchandise can't be sold and why Redbubble asks me to demonstrate something that is useless for the reintegration of online work because they don't defend own artists also those of the "premium" range. Any thoughts? image

image I posted this drawing on a POD service and it was promptly removed due to the rights holders of the band whose logo was warped into a parody of a famous Italian ice cream company logo and a joke from a popular animated series, sent a report. I contested this procedure waving the right of parody and the fact that the band was never mentioned in the drawing as in this post. We'll see... Do you know any decentralized POD? image

Disney used an AI tool that works on the pictures and style of artists who have published their works online to generate the opening credits of #SecretInvasion but they sent me the letter from the lawyer for this mash-up ⬇️ They are knights in shining armour to defend the copyright but only their own. image
