I live on 14.5 acres in Amish country in Ohio. I have raised chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits & sheep. I’ve planted cherries, hazelnuts, peaches, mulberries, paw paws, apples, pears & nectarines. I garden (badly) but I am learning more every year. I work remotely for a bank as a mortgage underwriter- fingers crossed I am still doing that when you read this. I hunt on my land - have gotten 5 deer since I moved out here. Into everything homesteading.

Morning Nostriches! Morning pond report is frosty! Tis the season for such things though & it really is a delight to watch the nature show as we move through the calendar. Wish I was in the deer blind, but gotta go hit the fiat mine instead - looks like my corn pile is depleted though anyway & I need a refresh. #coffeechain

Morning Nostriches! Ok, afternoon, but it’s been a busy weekend. We sent 8 turkeys off to turkey heaven this weekend at an annual event we have at our house. Several birds went out to other hones for their thanksgivings. Ours is on ice until its big day. We always take 2 and part one out for the freezer. Somehow once this event is completed every year I feel content for weeks. #homesteading #grownostr
