Morning Nostriches!
I was able to make it all the way to the rail today for the morning pond report which is snow! I swear there’s a pond in there somewhere, trust me!

I live on 14.5 acres in Amish country in Ohio. I have raised chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits & sheep. I’ve planted cherries, hazelnuts, peaches, mulberries, paw paws, apples, pears & nectarines. I garden (badly) but I am learning more every year. I work remotely for a bank as a mortgage underwriter- fingers crossed I am still doing that when you read this.
I hunt on my land - have gotten 5 deer since I moved out here. Into everything homesteading.

Morning pond report is that it has disappeared! So much snow built up on the ice on top of it that it looks like a field & not a pond. Somehow this just enhances the view though.

Morning pond report is ice! We’re officially frozen over, that took longer than I thought it would. Overnight lows are well below freezing so I expect us to be frozen for a while here. It’s been a few years since we’ve been frozen over & it’s nice to see.

Todays pond report is rain! This won’t cause a complete melt, and then we’ll freeze again - so tomorrow’s story will be ice! I had fun in the fiat line yesterday despite all my whining. I should start paying more attention to the good days since this is my path forward.

Morning pond report is frosty! It’s 12 out there right now, good day to snuggle in with a fire & make a pot of soup. Unfortunately the fiat mine is calling & if I don’t answer I just don’t get paid.
