Morning pond report is deer! Got some action shots on the corn pile last night here, rut is pretty much over so this could be an argument for corn, maybe just play?

I live on 14.5 acres in Amish country in Ohio. I have raised chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits & sheep. I’ve planted cherries, hazelnuts, peaches, mulberries, paw paws, apples, pears & nectarines. I garden (badly) but I am learning more every year. I work remotely for a bank as a mortgage underwriter- fingers crossed I am still doing that when you read this.
I hunt on my land - have gotten 5 deer since I moved out here. Into everything homesteading.

Todays pond report is warm! It’s a balmy 39 degrees out there & it’s going to be warmer tomorrow. Love this weather, who else really loves the season changes, the ups & downs, the snow, the new growth, the leaves falling. Just makes me so happy every morning to see what new beauty today will bring

Morning pond report is cold! It’s 6 degrees out there right now, we’ve got a little bit of a warm up coming over the next few days, but it won’t be enough to melt all my snow, which is awesome as I don’t want to let it go. I’ll start hunting again in January as I’ve had a buck down there around midnight for a while. Hope that dude sticks around for me.
