I live on 14.5 acres in Amish country in Ohio. I have raised chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits & sheep. I’ve planted cherries, hazelnuts, peaches, mulberries, paw paws, apples, pears & nectarines. I garden (badly) but I am learning more every year. I work remotely for a bank as a mortgage underwriter- fingers crossed I am still doing that when you read this. I hunt on my land - have gotten 5 deer since I moved out here. Into everything homesteading.

Morning Nostriches! Morning pond report is snow!! We got at least a foot. I’ve shoveled off the deck 4x since yesterday morning. Unfortunately our snow blower broke, but a neighbor showed up with a bobcat to save the day. 2nd pic is from the little stream that is at the back of the property. It’s frozen solid & covered in snow. Spring breakup this year is going to be rough. #coffeechain

Morning Nostriches! Morning pond report is cold! We’re at our highs for the day right now so it will be a day of declining temperatures. Overnight lows will be -6. Gonna have to pull the barn cat into the house for this one. #coffeechain
