I live on 14.5 acres in Amish country in Ohio. I have raised chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits & sheep. I’ve planted cherries, hazelnuts, peaches, mulberries, paw paws, apples, pears & nectarines. I garden (badly) but I am learning more every year. I work remotely for a bank as a mortgage underwriter- fingers crossed I am still doing that when you read this.
I hunt on my land - have gotten 5 deer since I moved out here. Into everything homesteading.

Morning garden report is a pic of the other side. Couple of pics since someone was interested in the garden bed design. These 3 beds are my oldest & shallowest. Simple construction, just a couple of boards banged together & some soil thrown on top.

Morning garden report is my sunflower! I just plant the one in this neat little pot. There’s not bottom so it can grow through if it wants to.

Morning garden report is that the hat field behind it is down. Dude came though in a massive tractor last night & mowed it down. They’ll fluff it a few times then come out with the baler. This is one of the nicer things we have here.

Morning garden report is this is the way. More I do this more I realize that this was something missing in my life. I’m still really bad at it, but coming out to this sight every morning just makes life better
