Local meetups should have this unwritten rule that anyone showing up there should be on Yzer.io and have leve3 or up.
So you know they at least have knowledge of the very basics and have spent some time on education.
Everyone who talks about long time preference but doesn't even get to spend an hour getting the basics can actually pack and go imho.
(of course, that won't solve all problems, but it will surely be some small form of hurdle for the absolute bottom feeders that only show up to promote their unrelated business, snoop some votes for a local political party or get some info out of people for whatever reason and then disappear. (or don't know anything about bitcoin but crave attention)
If a club with nice things inside has no bouncer, and no internal 'eyes', you'll get problems.
If Bitcoin communities don't have any form of vetting, you'll be internally corrupted.
Let's start by having local meetups have a 'linimal' sort if vetting.
Havibg the Yzer.io app at level 3 at minimum should be a good start
And maybe, having people who claim to be 'years in bitcoin' deliver some form of proof that they're not just BS'ing to het attention.
Just some ideas I already floated around from a while back ,when I critizised some meetups with 'grifter' types.
I still haven't found a good integrated wallet thing to zap people with.
None of them work smooth and in combination with my other loaded apps.
Has alby made any progress lately that people know off?
If a free service I put online would randomly ask for a 2000 sats invoice to be paid at intervals (every 10 uses or so), would you be annoyed as hell or would you now and then pay that tipjar?
Riddle me this:
40+ billion dollars in bitcoin in a few big hands
40+ companies and initiatives all scraping to get a few people paid to make cool stuff to help the community and let bitcoin thrive.
If you accept a CBDC as payment, you're also going to love living in a 15 minute city gulag.
Anyone know a European company that can print / create playing card-sized cards in bulk?

Want an open-source, fair, automatic and/or handmade way to have a seed phrase?
Don't rely on whatever a chip in some hardware wallet does.
Rely on your own shuffling of cards, or the entropy of lavalamps in order to shuffle and deliver fair entropy.

Entropy Seed phrase poker - Choose Your Method

I've created something I wanted for a long time now: a two card deck "poker" pair method for creating seed phrases.
It's just something I've built and love. Hope anyone likes it (it looks more simplistic than it is:)

Entropy seed phrase poker, method of generating seeds with playing cards \ stacker news
I've created an adaptation on an older idea to have playing cards serve as entropy for a seed phrase. I've created two versions: one where the user...
I've built something new, and it's mathematically beautiful.
Few more tests and calculations and it will be open to the public.

I claim " Randomizer 3000 " has more entropy than most hardware wallet generated seed words (run it locally, but online for excellent results).

Randomizer 3000

Bad market breeds bad oneliners.
The "randomizer 3000"
A tool to pick near-perfect entropy for your seed phrases.
It uses a wide range of entropy, from mid-range to die-hard (quantum generated, lavalamp, and much more)
