Presenting "MCOR"
A message compressor for small payloads like OP_return.
This encodes and compresses your message so you can send a longer text over OP_return's 80 bytes limit.
This is an early alpha release for the concept.

In the city I live, there is exactly 1 places that officially accepts bitcoin.
There are like 2600 bars and restaurants.
There are 0 to 4 bitcoiners that bother to try onboarding anyone that I know of.
The bitcoiners that however, do show up at meetups, are buying gadgets and staring at their stickers.
So yeah. Pump my bags mentality and it won't get us anywhere.
"but look at the price man"
Isn't there a liquid zap solution yet for nostr.
I know this is not something to zap 2 sats with. But it would be awesome to have the option in any case.

One if the best lightning companies went out for more than 20hours, proving a glaring fla in LN, and can't recover property,... But we're still discussing spam theater on podcasts....
👍
sad to see: The few times I personally onboarded, helped people to get their first bitcoin ... I always return to them about 6 months later. And 100% of the time they turned shitcoiner.
Main reason: s-coiners hear someone say "I bought my first bitcoin" or "I now save in bitcoin" and then they jump up, because they can be the perfect parasite:
- someone did the real work (bitcoiner explaining thing, setting things up, spending time)
- then the parasites and fakers come in with their referral links and "better than bitcoin garbage" and try to leach money from these people
100% of the time: they buy bitcoin, and then, like a hippie smelling weed, the worthless shitcoin parasites appear with "hey, you know Solana is fàster right... I have a referral link, and there's like an airdrop you can't miss mààn"
Multisig is the shitcoin of hardware vendors.
Low tech is the future fie security.
Using nostr on a mobile is still hellish.
As soon as other services are touched, there's little to no possibility than to copy paste your nsec key.
The extensions like they exist on destkopt (nos2x is the only one that works like 50% of the time for me, rest is basically crap).
On mobile I get no decent way to use nostr. Unless I'm missing some good extension (not Alby, please spare me)
Imagine designing a splash screen for your software and it looks like this...

One of the bigger Lightning Network payment providers CoinOs, went down, and apparently there's little to no in-depth soul searching about this. Why is this concerning?
Well, because they're one of the good guys. Doing their best to make an understandable UX, have good services, even supporting LN, Liquid and on-chain seamlessly.
Yet, a mishap at a datacenter caused them to go down, and they don't have a good means to restate the balances of the last 24 hours.
While podcasts are filled with the 1000th take on the OP_return "telenovela" , we ignore that one of the bigger LN providers can go down and there's little to no redundancy possible.
Think about it. This is important.
Presenting the newest addition to the free toolset :
The "8rack" card tool for seedphrase generation.
I present. "8 rack" ... the 96 card system to finally solve the equal distribution of chances in Seed word generation with playing cards.
The Three-Deck BIP-39 Seed Generator is a web-based tool designed to create
cryptographically secure 24-word seed phrases compliant with Bitcoin Improvement
Proposal 39 (BIP-39), essential for securing cryptocurrency wallets.
Using three virtual decks of 96 cards each, the application generates randomness
through an interactive, card-based system that is both engaging and transparent. This
paper explores the tool’s functionality,

The nostrplebs really seems offline for days now. Is that service still ok?
If something scales successfully, shouldn’t the result be more high-value, on-chain settlement transactions?
Is that even the case?
(Open question)
Let's see if a nice wallpaper gets me soms zaps.
Writing 4 months on a 12 piece series at least didn't 😉Stealing ideas and not giving credit is so fiat.
Anyway .. another project I can throw away now btcCPI.
shouting in the void.
threw away +3 years on that
what a waste

Lightning Network : our high-maintenance crazy-ex
A third look at the state of the Lightning Network from and end-user perspective
Now I want to filter out the actual discussions about OP_Return.
