If we ever listen to a politician or a suit ever again about what “Bitcoin needs to do for…fill in the blank” we should just pack it up and go home. #bitcoin is perfect money. These places can adopt it or suffer the consequences. Enough of these people. View quoted note →

@jack mallers the answer to the question about not caring about the #bitcoin holders on your Q&A is actually a lot simpler than you were trying to think through. The simple answer is, by introducing the preferreds, you now have to pay them via selling bitcoin or selling shares because the operating cash flow cannot support it. Both of those options send the share price down because the bitcoin is worth less after selling spot BTC. You have now defeated the value proposition of the company, which was, buy our shares and we will get more bitcoin than you could have just buying spot. So, the short answer is selling bitcoin also punishes the shareholders. The shareholders get a double whammy to allow some preferred yield seekers to suck out their capital investment.

Figured I would share this story here because it is just so ridiculous. Happy 4th everyone, and be glad you weren’t and aren’t me. Just spent $3k to have a bunch of stuff done to our car and coming home last night, someone was coming out of the alley when we were trying to go down it. So we went in reverse to let them out, then went to put the car back in drive and it got locked in neutral. Absolutely nothing was working. Had to push the car through the alley where the sewer was backed up and overflowing. Completely soaked feet. Tried some ChatGPT troubleshooting for close to an hour. Nothing. Then the sky completely opens up. Massive thunderstorm. Trying to get the toolbag and the car seat into our garage in a deluge. Finally call the tow service with my insurance. Obviously July 3rd in a monsoon wasn’t exactly a ten minute ordeal. End up waiting in my garage for the guy for almost an hour. Meanwhile our building sewer starts to back up and water starts flooding everywhere in the garage and hallway and starts running into the stairwell. Half our house is in cardboard boxes in there. So I start scrambling to get plastic bins on the bottom and boxes up a flight of stairs. Tow guy shows up in the middle of that. Have to help him load the thing in while it’s pouring. It’s dark and pouring so you can’t really see that the alley is totally flooded. Guy steps out of his truck into the alley backed up sewer water in his Jordans and starts going nuts. Finally get the car out and have it sent to the place that did all the work on my car. Then I had to go back and finish moving the boxes. It’s just sitting at the shop and I have zero clue what’s next.

It is so hot this week that I cannot open my windows at all or my A/C unit starts losing ground to nature and takes forever to get back to even. Now I have a runny nose when inside and CO2 levels are off the chart. I gotta be operating at at least half of my 90 IQ. Not sure how I ever lived my life not knowing any of this stuff before.

How are we all enjoying the Atlas Shrugging of the country? Utterly ridiculous we have to spin this wheel of death for the 500th time. View quoted note →
