Why do people hate on monero so much? Because it goes down in value compared to Bitcoin? News flash, price isn't everything. If you're gonna complain, complain about lightning. Unless you're using a custodial solution, lightning has a lot of friction as a payment layer. Especially for receivers... So much cope. Disclaimer, I use both. But definitely prefer monero over lightning for spending. Onchain transactions are just less finicky
