image They don't just talk the talk; they walk the walk! 🚶‍♂️💬 Following up on my last poll about what activities add the most value to a community, I went back to my Community Leaders group with a new question: "What activities do you actually DO in your community?" The results are in, and it’s amazing to see how well our actions align with our priorities. Out of 38 community builders, here is what is actually happening on the ground: 🥇 97% are hosting Events IRL (meetups, workshops, lunches, dinners). It’s official—we practice what we preach! In-person connection isn't just valued; it's actively prioritized. 🥈 55% manage Chat Discussions (Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord) to keep the daily engagement flowing. 🥉 44% are creating Social Media Content (YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn). Interestingly, while this ranked lower in our "value" poll, it's clear that it remains an essential tool for community discovery and growth! A massive shoutout to Philip Charter from the @Bitcanario community for suggesting a brilliant addition to the poll: Book discussion / book swap, which grabbed 7% of the votes. It's a fantastic reminder that niche, shared-interest activities are powerful ways to bring members together. 📚 Other notable activities included Exclusive members-only events (21%), Live Events Online (18%), and Newsletters (15%). The biggest takeaway? Community builders are investing their time right where it matters most: getting people together in real life and keeping the conversation going in dedicated chat spaces. What activity takes up the majority of your time as a community builder? Does it align with what brings your members the most value? Let's discuss below! 👇 or join the Telegram Group here → #CommunityBuilding #CommunityManagement #CommunityLeaders #IRLEvents #CommunityEngagement #Networking #Bitcoin

The verdict is in: Nothing beats face-to-face connection. 🤝 I recently ran a poll in my Community Leaders group asking a simple but crucial question: "What activities do you think add more value to your community?" You can see the full breakdown in the image below, but the results were overwhelmingly clear! Out of the 29 community builders who voted, here is how the preferences stacked up: 🥇 93% voted for Events IRL (meetups, workshops, lunches, dinners). We all seem to agree that in-person gatherings are the undisputed kings of community value. 🥈 41% value Chat Discussions (Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord) to keep the daily pulse and continuous conversation alive. 🥉 27% chose Live Events Online (community calls, webinars, Spaces). A special shoutout to @Joyful Joey for adding and championing Exclusive members-only events, which pulled in a solid 17% of the vote. It goes to show that curated, private experiences hold massive weight when it comes to fostering deep connections and rewarding loyal members. Interestingly, one-way communication channels like Social Media Content (13%) and Newsletters (6%) ranked at the bottom. While these are fantastic tools for audience building, this poll proves that true community value is built on multi-directional interaction and shared experiences. In a world of digital fatigue, getting people in the same room (whether it's an open meetup or an exclusive dinner) is still the ultimate community hack. What do you think? Does your community lean more towards IRL gatherings, or do you find more value in digital spaces? Let me know in the comments or in our Telegram group 👇 #CommunityBuilding #CommunityManagement #CommunityLeaders #Networking #IRLEvents #CommunityEngagement image

I attended @BTC Prague with one main objective: Meet in person the event organizers and community leaders I've spent months talking to online. The result? New friendships, stronger partnerships, unforgettable side events, and a renewed conviction that Bitcoin adoption happens through communities. From the Bitcoin Educators Unconference to the Spanish Reunion, this year's BTC Prague reminded me why showing up matters. I wrote a few reflections on the people, events, and lessons I brought back to Barcelona. 👇 Read the full article below.

At the @FreedomTechSummit in Prague (right before @BTC Prague) I shared a stage with Max Hillebrand and Denis from Pubky to debate: Building on Nostr: Hype vs. Reality. We talked trade‑offs: censorship resistance vs. scalability vs. UX. Protocol comparisons. Bitcoin‑native identity layers. But here’s what I kept coming back to, both on stage and in how we build at @Satlantis: Social Events: Nobody cares about your tech stack. Not really. Not the user. What they care about is: Does this app solve a real problem? Is it seamless? Does it respect my freedom without making me think about it? That’s why I see Nostr as an identity layer—not as a religion. Identity is fundamental. The protocol beneath it should be invisible. And that’s exactly what we’re doing at Satlantis: pouring all our energy into building the best events app we can. People will come for the product—for the experience, the connections, the utility. Not because it runs on Nostr vs. Pubky vs. something else. The most honest takeaway from the panel? Even when Max, Denis and I disagreed on architectures, we agreed on this: Build things people actually want to use. Everything else is noise. So my question to you: When was the last time you chose an app because of its protocol—or because it just worked? #FreedomTechSummit #Nostr #Pubky #Satlantis #Bitcoin #UX #BuildForPeople image

⚠️ Most Bitcoin communities never break the 100-member mark. Last week, I asked 40 Bitcoin community leaders from around the world a simple question: "How big is your community?" 🔹 65% have 10 – 100 members 🔹 20% have 100 – 1,000 members 🔹 5% have 1,000+ members The interesting part isn't the numbers. It's that organizers from different countries are facing the same challenges: attracting newcomers, keeping people engaged, finding sponsors and turning meetups into sustainable communities. The people solving those problems are sharing what's working (and what's not) inside my Community Leaders Telegram group. ⚠️ A new 24-hour poll just opened: "What type of events do you run?" If you're building a Bitcoin community, you'll want to see the answers before the poll closes. Join the conversation and vote here 🗳️ image
