When someone asks how much bitcoin you have it’s ok to say over 100,000. Once you move past the satoshi baloney, and start working with 1 bitcoin=0.00000001, you get a base unit people can understand (and everyone on here will have millions of bitcoin, congratulations🎊)

One bitcoin equaling 100,000,000 “satoshis” is horrible OG marketing. What is better? One bitcoin equaling 0.00000001. Before long, the average American’s entire net worth will be around 25,000 bitcoin, or 0.00025000. Even if they 1000x their net worth, they’ll still be 75,000,000 short of what OGs call a “bitcoin.” That feeling of missing out on a full coin is proving too hard of a mental hurdle for most to overcome. This is a big reason why I respect Cash App, Square, and @jack. They were just like “GM. It’s bitcoin only from now on. Sats no longer exist.” 🫡

I self insure by buying bitcoin. $50 for dental, 15$ for vision, $450 for “health” - that buys bitcoin each month. Do that for a couple months and then you can pay for an emergency root canal with cash if you have to. If you don’t have an emergency, the universal savings keep growing. Imagine if everyone simply bought Bitcoin instead of insurance. (I do have CrowdHealth but that’s only like $150 a month- so still come out way ahead)

New shoes vs dirty shoes vs cleaned shoe, and my thoughts. In arid environments like Colorado, even on long runs my feet never sweat and my shoes stayed dry. Now that I’m back on the East Coast running in humidity, my feet are sweating—and I’m discovering that my shoes are somehow getting ridiculously dirty. I like my Nikes white, so I ordered shoe cleaner off Amazon and got to work. After 28 squirts, I started wondering what exactly this cleaning solution was made of and began imagining all those mysterious chemicals soaking into my sweaty feet and getting pumped around my body on a long run with my heart rate elevated.
