Good morning nostr, i've been thinking about ordering some new chicks soon, cuz it takes a good while for chicks to start laying eggs. Some of the older hens have really started to slow down, so i want to be ready. I have lots to do today, including putting a big roast in the crockpot so it can cook during the day, then i'll shred it and have it ready for an impromptu meal this weekend. We're not sure exactly what the plan will be, if we're eating here or at someone else's house, so i'll be ready either way. One of my earliest memories was when i was about 3 years old, riding a tricycle. I was on the sidewalk in front of our house, and rode off the concrete stairs. I fell off and was crying, and my father came running out and picked me up, looked at my scraped knees, and consoled me. I miss him and think about him often. #memories #AFathersLove

Just made a batch of my fav chocolatey treats. These things are soooo good😋😋, and ingredients are simple and clean. Not too sweet, just right. #foodstr #CacaoEnergyBites - 1 cup rolled oats - 1/4 cup chia seeds - 3/4 cups cacao powder - 1 tsp salt - 2/3 cups almond butter or peanut butter - 1/4 cup coconut oil - 2 TBSP honey - 1 tsp vanilla - 1/4 cup raisins Mix dry ingredients, then add the remaining stuff. Scoop out by the tablespoon and put onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in freezer until solid, then you can place them in baggies and grab a couple for a treat. Thats it, no cooking.

Beyond the usual work, we need to think about food for the weekend since we'll have family here for Easter weekend.
