I set my zaps to Anonymous by default because privacy is important. Yet I feel like some of the community building and signal is now lost with each zap. There is an element of connection when you know who the zap comes from. Thinking I will leave zaps public for the standard 21 sats zaps but go anon for larger ones. Went on a hike this morning with some friends. Great weather, beautiful greenery. This is your reminder to find the outdoors and go to them more. Confession, #BitBlockBoom was my first full on Bitcoin conference. I’ve been to single day events before. Attending alone, I was unsure how it would feel to be alone among a sea of people. Grateful that I was able to run into some Nostriches like @QW and @jonb At the BBQ social I sat at a table with some of the great @Damus contributors @Terry Yiu @Montzstar and @elsat and had a 2 hour conversation about mobile UX, iOS development, and building products for users. 💜 I entered the conference alone and left with frens.

My daughter’s class is doing a non-educational, all-day field trip to a place we aren’t thrilled about. We asked if we can just keep her home for the day instead, since all the other kids are getting an excused absence for this trip. Not only did the school deny our request for an excused absence, they also informed us that if she missed one more day of school this year, it puts her over a threshold and she would need to attend summer school.
