In 15 hours our meetup in Eindhoven will start. We’ll have an amazing presentation coming up by @Patrick van der Meijde and will close the meetup with @alana's stranded. Can’t wait for the moment to see the documentary. Just tested the setup and the startshot looks amazing.

Every time I delete all our data of our orders I smile. It gives me piece of mind I don’t use third party applications for marketing or have any data that could be at risk at our bitcoinbrabant.com website. Most people pay with lightning nowadays which is also untraceable. We use lightningcheckout, who compiled and forwards all payment on day to day basis. Our on-chain payments are consolidated into large UTXOs and spend on new products for our webshop. We are a full circular bitcoin only webshop. And seeing we already did hundreds of orders this year, makes me optimistic about bitcoin. image

Silent S9s being assembled for the Amsterdam bitcoin conference in October. We’re going to heat the main area with 5 + year old refurbished machines. Thanks Adriaan for all your help!

It’s the time of the year again to harvest what you sowed. Or in this case dried what was moist. We used bitcoin miners to dry some bulbs so they can bloom at the halving. What is more beautiful than to watch the bitcoin bloom instead of the tulip bubble pop. You’ll leave all haters in awe. We featured @Jeff Booth on our website as he inspired us on an important part of our journey. https://bitcoinbrabant.com/product/tulip-bulbs-bitcoin-miner-dried/

Over the past few years I have been giving quite a few presentations about heating businesses with bitcoin. Often the scope of the presentation is broader. Every presentation made contains quotes of satoshi that fit with the topics. Which quote do you like the most?

Just picked up the flyers and posters for bitcoin Eindhoven. @Patrick van der Meijde is going to give a recap of a decade of proof of work. Make sure you let us know if you’re joining by pressing the attend button on our meetup page. This so we know how many people needs to be there to serve at the restaurant. Also there is a max limit of 100 people. image

Orders have to be brought to the local dispatch centres. There are two different ones where we normally deliver. On days like this it’s beautiful to do these deliveries by bike. It’s quite some kilometers as we are in a rural area. So when you order with me, you know the first part was often shipped by bike 😉 image

You can build a homestead and separate yourself from the rest of society and take care of yourself. You can also build a community with like minded people where you build an economy on hard money. Going for pancakes with bitcoiners is one of the ways where you can physically discuss sovereignty and long term value securing. Not only monetary value as being your stored life energy, but also values of life to live by. Talking with bitcoiners who are building a better world for everyone every day will prevail. Some are building for over a decade and work towards a moment we can embrace a hard currency once again. The Dutch guilder was one of the hardest currencies before the euro came. The people are still thinking in terms of saving and long term multi generational wealth. If there is one country that is ready to move to a bitcoin standard at a rapid pace, it’s the Netherlands. And we all should deliver the proof of work to make it so. image

The bitcoin meetup in Zwolle was 🔥 we talked about sovereign setups. Living autark, batteries and solar combinations for mining. Node builds, payments. Monero vs bitcoin. The future of cbdcs, what slowed down bitcoin adoption, how to get more merchants in Zwolle on the BTCMap. What people brought to bitcoin and what their future perspective is. So many topics and in the end we could pay with bitcoin at the pancake boat… what more is there?

View quoted note → As a former engineer who wrote just a tiny bit of code and had to rely on experts through my time in ports across the world for the most part. I believe this piece by lyn sets out the issues of “improvements” very well. I’ve seen some non consensus supported changes flowing through in software development that brought ongoing problems in port operations. Sometimes pushed through by head quarters, which lead to outflow of both customers and people on the work floor. Costing many millions a week, which became a downward spiral. A solid basis that is supported throughout the user system that does its job is the most important thing. A system that will become the monetary basis of the human race needs more difficulty to be changed than a local US constitution. We should educate more people to think about it this way. If you want to know more about content of forks and what is happening in bitcoin core, join a bitdev meetup. This Friday I will attend another one in Amsterdam. I’m not a programmer, but I’ve seen a lot of shit through decades of “updates”. Let’s make sure we don’t move too fast and coincidentally make a mistake.
