Lightning doesn’t work they said… Nobody is using it. It’s too complex. Not if you’re paying attention. The first company in Europe with a MICAR license is @ZEBEDEE TEST 55555. It’s a gaming platform with a lightning integration. You thought we don’t need to get rid of our current payment networks that are running on certain legacy rails is living under a rock. The change is coming and it’ll come fast. Oh and btw, we’re still receiving a nice amount of lightning transactions… @BitcoinBrabant @Lightning Checkout

For the Dutch, about the draconian dac 8:
If we read through the Dutch news over the past months we have consistently seen messaging about cyber threats and combatting misinformation. Many papers created by institutions have been hammering down on controlling the internet.
The latest “make sure you have cash at home” is the third one in a couple of months. Dutch department of defense, Dutch central bank and now the national association of banks.
A total crackdown on freedom on the internet because of “cyber threats” is not out of the question. The majority of the Dutch people support a crackdown on misinformation and control of social media now… A simple “attack” would easily put emergency measures in place. The China role model of the great firewall is a wet dream for many…

Switzerland is gathering bitcoiners… 👀 @be-BOP, the ethical sales toolbox

Zapping will become the after proof of work of delivery discount… people that share their amazing buy in our webshop will be zapped from one of our new lightning nodes setup with @alby. It was fun to do a setup once again… became very different in the last few years tbh…

A game changer for bitcoin hodlers. The “deposit guarantee” of bitcoin is here while having control over your UTXO when the counterparty fails. Miniscript makes it easy for people to understand. Saw this for the first time @freemadeira conference. At @npub1ft69...tx3v the details were further presented.
It’s not up to €100k like the money at the bank that is not yours…It’s not some real estate that will be taxed away or falls under some unreliable government.
You will hold control over your asset. Time locks do not exist in the physical world that can’t be breached. It’s the first time we can not only ensure, but also insure generational wealth.

Amazing to see an article like this on @primal ,this is the future of long form content. Amazing read, amazing story. Love the game and love how much time and testing went into it. Proof of Work For the Win
One of the brightest bitcoiners I know decided to leave the Netherlands. I’m in intense pain to have seen the brightest and hard working people that create a bright future leave. The few that are still here have plans to leave that are very concrete. We have a sovereign setup in the Netherlands and will push freedom for bitcoiners as far as we can go. But if the Netherlands decides to go too far you have to take responsibility for your families and vote with your feet. We’re closing in on the final battle, the discussions are starting to heat up. If it goes the wrong way we’ll let you know timely.
Yesterday we had the first major outage of electricity at my sisters place (local outage, couple hundred households were affected). Coincidentally we already ordered 30KWh emergency backup batteries for our locations, not yet installed. We expect a lot more outages in the future. With 30KWh we can run quite a while, but when will we have them full? We are planning to deplete them with mining… a minimum level for emergencies is required I would expect… if we look at our consumption we can push it under 2kwh per day easily and we have sufficient solar even for winter to generate a couple kWh per day. So a depletion below 5kwh is maybe not wise… curious what Nostr thinks about this…
Decrease cost of living every year while growing a growing family. How do you reduce your cost of living maximally?

We keep on building and delivering proof of work.

It’s 5 degrees Celsius outside and I’m heating our living room with bitcoin. It’s hashing to our @BitcoinBrabant DATUM @OCEAN pool. We’re reducing natural gas consumption radically. We’ve just ordered a new 30KWh battery pack to start smart steering with our 44 solar panels positioned on East (12 x 480) West (12 x 480) and south (20 x 320). We will monitor the upcoming year with fluctuations and looking forward reducing grid reliance as much as possible. We’ll even have an emergency switch for when the power on the grid is gone.
All our systems are backed with multiple internet connections. Both 5G and Glassfiber (1.2GBit/s). We have starlink as a backup. We recently had to change our glassfiber ISP as we got serious issues with our TOR connections. We now paid off the 2 year contract and switched to Freedom internet as ISP. Best choice ever, we haven’t had any problems since. We’re on our way to sovereignty.

My wife @Sanne has seriously improved her sourdough skills. At this time of the year also special breads and cookies are baked. It’s called “krollen” with “speculaas” with the best grass fed butter. The krollen have some anise in them. Our guests will enjoy under the story of @Lucho Poletti ‘s explanation of the unsolvable debt bomb. 💣

Why drama?

As a regular visitor of the Dutch central bank these days, you can’t miss some of the small details. On the counter at the entrance you can always find plastic bags with shredded paper bills.
There used to be a text on it which translates as follows. “Money doesn't make you happy, but luckily we make money!” The new plastic bags I picked up yesterday don’t have any text on them anymore… 👀
Now what was interesting is that the largest news agency NOS (which is 100% owned by the Dutch government) published the following article.
At that exact moment I was gifting the board of DNB bitcoin socks with a SeedQR and 24word paper wrapped in the following mainstream newspaper article: https://archive.is/U9Ykx. This article stated that everyone needs to have cash euros in a sock at home. Cyber attacks could impact the financial system for longer periods of time and people should prepare. I explained that it’s important to use the parellel bitcoin rails. Because that’s the most robust financial network on our planet. I don’t advise to put naked keys in a sock at home btw.

Could someone help us out on this one 👇
