Random person on the internet. I sometimes blog or work on projects I might talk about here.
Made a hacked together Python client for Nostr, ActivityPub, & AT:

I've got no horse in the race on Brexit, but I can't miss the opportunity to clown on the eat bugs and rent everything guy.
(Actually, I have eaten bugs once or twice. Mealworms tast pretty good when seasoned, although they're way more expensive than standard meats. If done at scale it might be a cheap source of protein that'd be healthier than chips or some other similar snack. But nevertheless that's my choice, and I'd rather not be forced to eat mealworms because all of my money is going to paying for my pod and uber to support my local megacorp; which costs more long term over buying a house and car).
@Soapbox Does mkstacks & /or nostrify support NIP-42? I've been trying to implement it into a project, and every time I do (both Mkstacks and GitHub Copilot + Nostrify mcp) it nukes the UI for whatever reason. I'm thinking it's a good chance it's just a case of the stupids (on my part or the LLM's), but wanted to ask before dumping a bunch of time and/or tokens into a project without knowing for sure. Thanks
Toying around with trying to create a "standard" social media style app on Nostr, focused on posts shared within circles instead of the fully public microblogging that most stuff is focused on.
Made a custom NIP
And vibe coded a proof if concept (beware mobile users, the mobile view is not good atm)
https://npub1nj7tj7wr2zl69mdc02x24j2js592vuxufgw63xwvq3t3m3lgda4qktzax0.nsite.lol/
Just a proof of concept, posts there aren't private since they're custom events but are being publicly broadcast (would need a custom relay setup). But it seems to be working.
Could use advice from people who know what they're doing, if there's any issues with the formatting of the custom NIP or a better way about going about things I'd greatly appreciate feedback.

Made a #blog post about different non standard ways to host a website or content. Touches on:
* #I2P
* #Tor
* #ipfs
* Decentralized Domains
+ the microblogging protocols
Just placeholder content for now, will update soonish. A very cool NIP and the process isn't too hard, just be careful to reject the relay list event or it'll delete all your relays and replace them with the nsite ones you selected.
