1: Refill butane torch lighter outside 2: Test it outside where it's bright 3: Can't see flame, but can hear the gas escaping when used, wonder its broken or just a flame rendered invisible by sunlight 4: Stick finger where flame should be 5: Yup. Found the flame, and a new blister on my hand. Yeah I'm kinda a moron sometimes.

Well I made it back home. Took a three hour nap in a conference room, then hit the road and got real lucky that I timed thunderstorm and tornado warning free windows at both my starting point and destination. Also, glad I took a nap because my alarm goes off in 3hr48min. Either this is late GN or an early GM, not sure. Rural interstate moto driving after midnight, with the sky lit up by quite a few distant lightning strikes, is quite the vibe. View quoted note →

My afternoon/evening in a nutshell: ) I'm working a bit late, but I'd really like to get this thing fixed before I leave. I took my motorcycle, and it'll rain in the evening, but I'll be back hours before it starts. ... ) Well, I'm cutting it close, but I've still got time to drive ~110 miles before the storm hits ... ) I'm definitely going to get rained on, but a little summer rain won't hurt me. ... ) Severe thunderstorm warning ) eff ... ) Tornado warning while driving down the highway on a 250cc moto ) eff, eff, eff ... Long story short I hightailed it off the highway, hesitated and decided to shelter at a gas station. The tornado watch extended from 7:30 to 11 so I decided to book it through some really bad rain to a work location 3 miles away. Still 60 miles from home though, and leaving puddles on a conference room floor. Honestly of all the places to hunker down for the night this is actually a pretty nice place, so don't worry too much internet strangers. Moral of the story? Don't give it your all, just do the bare minimum and get home to watch TV or something lol. The thing I needed to fix? Didn't even get it fixed. Wound up doing a half bandaid fix that could have been done in 10 minutes instead of the hours I spent on it.

Got called to do a thing for work a hundred or so miles away unexpectedly, between a few stops along the way and a wrong address in my GPS I'm probably going to be putting 250+ miles on my SG250. I'm reminded yet again that 250cc scramblers make very poor touring bikes.

image Looks almost like an album cover. Sharing the one with the filter only for now since I'll need to blur out the vin that's visible on the regular photo. Definitely appreciative of the chance to enjoy the remaining summer weather though. #photography #motorcycle #cscsg250

"Dont forget to inform your local tweakers that every flock camera contains 2 grams of gold and 2 lbs of copper" Random comment I ran across and feel worth sharing for no apparent reason 😉

Well I just unintentionally jumped the tracks on my motorcycle. I'm driving along a rural road at 55mph and thinking I'm seeing a hill until last minute realizing it's just really mounded up train tracks. Was way to close to slow down so just gambled on going full send while strait and stable as apposed to slower but less stable if I hit the breaks or let off the throttle. Figured I was about to put my airbag vest to good use but I stuck the landing. In all honesty, it was probably a rather pathetic jump to anybody who's done stunt riding, but it was certainly a bit of a surprise lol. #motorcycle

#asknostr has anybody developed a Nostr based guestbook for static sites? It's something that I thought I might try to implement on my site, and while I could probably just vibe code it, it'd prob make more sense to use a human written implementation if one already exists.
