I really hope this experiment is well documented so we don't keep reinventing HTTP APIs once every generation. If you want experimenting we already know how to do that; Everything is a file! Create a data store, and let everyone write whatever they want and parse it as they wish, the catch is that you HAVE to deal with access control, otherwise servers will have to make up their own filters, and if you encrypt data then servers are just going to filter out all of that. you have to have owners of data repositories, you can't avoid this.
