Knots vs Core.
Sats vs Bits.
It aint broke vs fix it anyways.
Straight vs Gay
We've never been more united in being an unapproachable cult
But yeah I'm still picking sides
I keep thinking back to that article "Everyone is a scammer." I didn't read the whole thing, but let me tell you, that title was so precient.
Open Source to subscription pipeline (I don't like it, and it often fails)
Step 1: Build cool shit
Step 2: Start locking features that are historically self hosted or already built in behind a subscription paywall
Step 3: lose diehard users because we are allergic to subscriptions
I have regularly donated to open source projects UNTIL they launch a subscription service. I hate subscriptions with all of my being and I want nothing more for them to burn. It's literally one of the reasons I bitcoin is because I view rentseeking with disdain.
Projects like Amethyst are my favorite, because they make it easy to one tap zap a donation on every release that I like, and it pays all devs. Maybe V4V doesn't scale, but neither does trying to monetize something that another open source project can provide for free.
Only use Misty Breez wallet if you want to lose approximately 75% of your money to fees, and not be able to recieve zaps less then 100 sats lol
If you're at BTC 2025 and wanna hang, say hi!
Based on my interactions with Lyft passengers, I really think the Cybertruck has the potential to be a late blooming extreme success. The FUD doesn't hold up against "butts in seats."
sats just hits right, though

I'm willing to compromise with 80 bytes as God intended
There were only about ~700 non-standard OP returns on-chain previous to this PR, and now as this PR is coming to fruition, just on

And people are saying removing the filter won't increase spam? Just the mere act of saying they would remove it has increased spam by an order of magnitude.
Core is completely corrupt if they do not own up to the mistake and reverse course.
Bitcoin Core died on this hill today.
They are either bribed, blackmailed, or have just become egotistical tyrants. Whatever the case is, Bitcoin Core cannot be a trusted implementation after this abuse of power and the merge of this filter removal with such a wide divide on this topic.
Rest in Peace, Bitcoin Core. It's a shame you had to be buried in a mass grave of shitcoinery versus dying on a hill that actually mattered.
Me acting like my vibe coding is a real skillset
