I'm feeling very tech advanced as I just DLed Knots and am currently syncing with only 15 years to go...lol. This whole new world of claiming sovereignty and updating my very lagging skillset reminds me a little of the feeling I had the first time I got a "cracked" game from a torrent and replaced some line of code. (This was in a dream, of course.) It's exciting boldly forging into territory I'm really not familiar with at all. Somehow I made it on here, Nostr, and now I'm going to run a node. Pretty dang cool.

There's one thing AI will never be able to do - it cannot produce something that has not been produced by AI i.e. something made by human hands with care and attention. All it takes to make AI largely irrelevant is for people to express their preference on the free market for goods and services produced by their fellow humans. Handmade shoes & clothes, black smithed tools, etc. Learn a skill and support other humans. Nothing could be simpler.

Say goodbye to the penny. They've debased our damn currency so badly that pennies are no longer being made. If that's not an alarm bell, I don't know what is. The knowledge that we're in a really bad spot was certain but somehow abstract, but this news that the penny is being discontinued just hits differently.

I'm entering a new phase in life. Starting to plan for what's next after Japan. The dream right now is a small sheep flock but things are fluid. Change is exciting.
