youtube is for subhumans information can always be more effectively laid out in a website format than any other format sometimes video is the way to go, sometimes text, sometimes images or audio, sometimes tables, sometimes an interactive element like embedded calculator or map where you can turn layers on / off etc. the one-size fits-all approach of youtube ( and other video-based platforms ) must appeal to RETARDS like boomers who only know how to watch TV YouTube is literally just TV with an unlimited number of channels and built in recorder that is already preprogrammed to record your favorite shows for you so you don't have to think ( which boomers aren't very good at ) i can't believe i once fell for YouTube being the future - what an idiot i was ! the logic was " this wasn't possible before due to bandwidth limitations but now it is, so it's the future " uhm ... going forward i will probably use Babbel exclusively for language learning i thought i could supplement with Pimsleur audio lessons while driving for example but now that i think of it i would rather use that time to listen to audiobooks like Robert Greene etc back when i started using pimsleur i loved it while being stuck in NYC traffic but i am no longer in NYC and i have since picked up an interest in audibooks and i don't even have time to listen to those so the assumption that i have more time for audio lessons than for interactive lessons on the computer no longer holds ... and i prefer the interactive lessons in front of the computer ... i also already want to go back to German, Japanese and Mandarin but i must not allow myself such indulgences ... Spanish is a practical matter. I heard that for some jobs in Florida Spanish is a requirement which makes sense since most people in Florida are hispanic. I remember how as a Russian in Brooklyn i was shocked when my doorman said he doesn't speak Russian. i was like Bro you live in Brooklyn what do you mean you don't speak Russian ?
