got a haircut at "Hammer and Nails" yesterday
the place is really nice and the booking experience is decent - it's all done online where you reserve a time slot and also put in your credit card info - nice not having to spell my name over the phone or deal with filthy cash to pay for a haircut - when you're done they just ask you if you want to leave a tip and that's it
however the haircut was average. i paid about $20 more than a regular barber would charge and spent about 2X as long in the chair but the result wasn't any better for it
overall a decent option if you need a haircut in a pinch and you're in an unknown city where you don't know any barbers - which was basically my situation - but of course it is better to stick with a barber you know
i regret not getting one last haircut before leaving New Jersey at the barber i was using there - it was cheaper and better - but i was crunched for time
