I want to give a shoutout to Norwegian artist Moddi's album "Unsongs" (2016). It deserves WAY more attention! For those who follow HRF's work, this is spot on. He's re-recorded censored songs from around the world. It's not only thought-provoking and a beautiful (and brave!) idea - it is also expertly executed. The music is great, with Moddi's voice bringing a sense of urgency and intimacy to each track. The production allows the listener to focus on the stories and emotions behind each song. For anyone who cares about freedom of speech and human rights, "Unsongs" is a must-listen. It's a powerful reminder of the impact of censorship!
