Haven't had much time to post here on nostr. I usually don't think about doing it. I never did get around to talking about my thoughts and feelings on the Talos Principle franchise. I like it but now that it's been a long time I feel like any thoughts that had been stirring are now lost. I guess I can say I'm not a fan of what I felt like was constraining philosophy pushed in the first game. Then again, that's just my feelings not my actual thoughts in reaction to the philosophy presented in the game. It's been too long to be able to make comment on that aspect of the game and I don't plan on revisiting it any time soon. Not because of the philosophy but because I would know the puzzles. It would be best to let it be for a while before doing those puzzles again.

Not going to lie, this time off I've taken from being sick has me thinking about my job. It seems like I was on a treadmill that never gave me time to think nor have much time for myself. I'm torn between quitting and just asking for less hours. Though since I'm still sick I might not really be thinking straight. ๐Ÿค”

Just upgraded to a new hardware wallet. Should ship soon. Life has been extremely busy. Work has been keeping me occupied and all of my days off have been me just doing shit for other people. I feel like I have no time for myslef nor any time to think. Thank goodness I'm sick today with a day off. No running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Just pure time for myself. ๐Ÿค”

The next bear market for Bitcoin might be brutal because we probably won't be able to pick up as many sats as we did in previous bear markets. This is the harsh reality as Bitcoin continues to age and we continue to see postive movement over a long period of time. As long as the dollar exists and people still prefer the dollar, we'll still be getting sats at a low price regardless. So that's the upside. Once people figure it out, those with strong hands and lots of Bitcoin will find themselves with lots of money, lots of responsibility, and perhaps a lot of value to offer towards humanity.

55 sats/vb!? God I guess people are kind of hyped about the price getting close to $70,000 again. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

I also finished playing The Talos Principle, the DLC, and the sequel. I haven't completed The Talos Principle 2's DLC. I have some thoughts on the game and it's story but they're still cooking, so to speak. I actually started to really like the characters in The Talos Principle 2 by the end of the game. It really clicked with me at that point. So much so I might want to replay the second game just for the story and to choose some different dialogue options. Though there's DLC to get to first. There's something wrong with me since I just don't find the puzzles traditionally "satisfying." Like you should feel satisfied with completing the puzzles and rest assured, I am sure the majority of people will be very satisfied. The only reason why I didn't is certainly more on the "I have a screw loose" side of things. Perhaps puzzles aren't for me but that's not completely true because I really did enjoy what little I got out of it. Most of the fun was playing it while a friend watched. My friend loves Talos so it was a blast. These aren't all my thoughts on the game and it's story. This is just a short reaction or retrospection just after finishing most of what the Talos franchise offers. Believe me, there's a lot more that could be discussed in regards to Talos and it's story.

I finally finished all of Sonic Frontier's story. Here's what I will say... I like the main story and the main game quite a bit but the "Another Story" DLC was kind of bad. On the upside, at least you can play as multiple characters in the open world. The DLC is artificially difficult and frustrating. It's not particularly worth playing. The alternative ending is also slightly underwhelming. I also don't necessarily care about Sage and Eggman's father and daughter relationship enough. I guess I could just decide on a whim whether I want to care either based on reasons or how the voice acting makes me feel. This is kind of an anime game afterall. So I guess I've decided reaons for now. That being said, I don't completely get it and see it in Eggman to be kind to anyone. Eggman is supposed to be that simple "evil villain because he is" sort of character as far as I know. Not only that but I simply don't know how he's grown or changed as a character between say Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Frontiers. That lack of knowledge could be my fault entirely. I guess asking for such development, even if it exists, might be a little too much for a Sonic game. I won't lie, Sonic Adventure's story is bad too but it's kind of a "so bad it's funny and good" trip now that I'm an adult. That and nostalgia but that's besides the point. At the same time, I need to keep my conclusions in check due to my initial tempered expectations. I knew this game was going to be very anime and fairly kid friendly in its dialogue, story, and voice actors. With that in mind, does it live up to the sheer vibes and "trip" of the Sonic Adventure games in my opinion? Not really but it's still good and fairly acceptable in that regard. The voice actors for Sonic and Amy in particular sometimes rub off as wrong for some reason. At other times they do a really good job. So I'm conflicted and mixed on those two. Sometimes I feel like "hey these two new voices make a lot of sense" and other times I'm thinking "oh my god you cannot pull off a line like that." Like when there is this cringey anime kind of camp that pops up in the dialogue I'm expecting a naturally higher pitched voice or a different kind of delivery I can't quite put my finger on. I guess I'm too used to hearing the previous voice actors. Ya but all in all, I'll be playing the main game's story again sometime. Otherwise it's best for me to stick to occasionally exploring and unlocking achievements with this one. There might be mods to make the game better too. Honestly, this might be the best 3D Sonic game but my love and nostalgia for the adventure games clouds my judgement. That being said, it's not so good that I'll be rushing to play it on repeat and explore the world for countless hours just for my enjoyment. It's definitely good but not capturing me.

Ah yes, very "basic" and easy to make. Don't forget that part where he forgets to fry the tomato paste! Will his dog ever forgive him for that? I have some more harsh words but I really don't want to say them here. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Holy on-chain fees! I honestly thought I wouldn't see fees as low as 2 sats/vb after the fee environment we had for a long time. ๐Ÿคฉ

So I know there are mute lists you can use here on nostr but I was wondering if there was a way to create a mute list filter based on profile aliases or profile descriptions. Bit of a band-aid solution for bot spam but it could be helpful for other things. ๐Ÿค”

I'm playing through Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. When it had released and when I had watched it for the first time, I felt a bit mixed on the story. Now that I'm playing it myself I totally understand the premise and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. The only thing I feel mixed about is that it's the mainline Batman Arkham story and timeline. I could see why they decided to go with the Suicide Squad over a Justice League game. Technically, I believe the Arkham Batman games already reside in the DC universe as it is. So it gives the writers some creative license to do something like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Hopefully this opens the door for Rocksteady to make more DC games. Now I haven't completed the story nor anything DLC related but from what I've heard, the end game is a little rough with grinding. The always online requirement is also a little ridiculous. Overall, I'm enjoying the game a good amount. For what it is, I think I got it at a steal for the discount I paid. That and I might not be so favorable to the game once I'm finished with it. Who knows? I might write more about the game after I'm done. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Since I'm kind of in a flow state right now here's roughly where my head was and how it went for me from when I started Bitcoin to now. These are some of the questions and thoughts I've had for a few years now: 1. What is Bitcoin? What makes it different vs the other coins? Is there any use for the other coins? 2. Well I guess I'll just put a little money in Bitcoin since it's the first one and that's probably the safest bet. I'll dip my toes in and figure out what an address is. Electrum seems to be a good wallet. 3. I should get a hardware wallet because that seems to be the safest way to store any cryptocurrency. I guess I'll get a Trezor because that's popular. Maybe I should get a BitPay debit card for spending... 4. Cool, I've got a hardware wallet! Time to ditch Electrum. 5. Oh hey, there's a capital gains tax on the conversion from Bitcoin to USD. Maybe I should be careful with that... Hmm, not so sure how I'm going to spend Bitcoin for things. It would feel cool if I could do that. I shouldn't play with fire with my BitPay debit card... 6. Hey these gift card merchants and options are a little expensive. They have some fees and I don't know which ones are useful. 7. Oh, BitRefill seems to be really reputable but the time for a transaction to confirm on Bitcoin is pretty slow. Still not sure how I'm going to use or spend Bitcoin daily on expenses. I'm not even sure which gift cards I should be looking into. 8. Hey I'm not understanding these other alt coins and don't really seem to have a use... I'm still curious though. 9. I just read the Bitcoin Standard and holy crap this Bitcoin thing is actually a political thing and really useful! It's not just for making money! It's serious about being money and it's actually trying to make money better as a technology. This thing could probably fix a lot of societal problems! I also now know what a Satoshi is. This is really cool and easier to look at versus the long decimal point. 10. Hmm... Kind of a mistake to start talking about Bitcoin with certain people. It's hard to change people's minds and orange pill. Maybe I should be more aware of who I talk to about it. I should probably respect the fact that it's not easy to understand and that not everyone will really care. I really wish I could talk about it though... 11. Everything is clicking. No wonder these altcoins don't have a use. They're literally designed to be scams. 12. I should probably set up a Bitcoin node for myself. It's the next step after getting a hardware wallet. If I get a node, I won't have to necessarily use Electrum again. Let's look into Umbrel. 13. Nice, I've got a Bitcoin node! Now what? How do I use this lightning network thing and how does it work? 14. Oh nice, the lightning network is like a bar tab. That's really clever! 15. But is it really instant and cheap? 16. Okay so I need a lightning channel. Let's look up some tutorials about that. 17. Coming back to the question... How can I spend and live on Bitcoin? 18. Okay I'm getting more confident with the whole lightning channel thing. 19. OH WAIT HOLD THE PHONE. THE LIGHTNING NETWORK IS AMAZING, WTF! 20. Ohhh... Wait, that BitPay card idea wasn't actually a good idea and now I understand why merchants like BitRefill are so good. You can use the Lightning network to pay for the gift cards. And hey, it looks like they have more selection now! I also really like The Bitcoin Company. 21. Time to look up how gift cards exactly work. 22. Now that I've done that I know what gift cards I'm looking for and how to ensure I'm maximizing the most I can out of them. 23. Oh shoot, not everyone accepts gift cards. Welp, I guess I'm gonna have to start being strategic with my bank account and Bitcoin. 24. Hey this book called Softwar is pretty interesting. Bitcoin as a weapon, that's a cool idea. I should return to this because this is a little over my head right now. 25. Hm... My Bitcoin node that's on my Raspberry Pi is going down an awful lot. I should reflash the SD card. 26. Okay, that's done and it seems to have better up time. I should wait and figure out how long it'll stay up. 27. Ugh, 15 days. That's not very good and I don't like having to go over and reflash the OS onto the SD card. I should probably use a different computer for my node so I can have better uptime. 28. Cool, I'm taking a trip to California! I'll be able to test and see if I can access my node all the way from Cali! 29. NICE! It works and it works really really well! That's kind of impressive! 30. Hey, if I just spend my lightning sats within my means I might actually be able to get ahead a little in savings. That way I won't be tempted by bull markets nor over spend during a bear market. Hey, this thing might help lift people out of poverty if they establish good habits... I'm starting to like bear market conditions way more than bull markets. 31. Man, I want to just use only Bitcoin in my life instead of my bank but there are still a lot of things you can't just buy with Bitcoin indirectly. 32. Oh... Oh my god... That bit about food in the Bitcoin standard is actually real? Wait WTF? There are people on YouTube talking about the Carnivore diet? Hey wait a second what's going on here? Are we all being poisoned? 33. Oh my god the carnivore diet is healing my mind and body. Wow! It feels like this is the modern panacea. Why was this hidden? Why is American culture so mess up with food? Is gluttony a real thing? 34. Please, don't tell me this is real. I can't believe what I'm reading in the Fiat Standard. Is greed also really that destructive that it has forced gluttony onto an entire country? Holy crap hold on, these things aren't like some fantasy demon creatures or ghosts, they're real concepts and problems. WTF? Thank goodness for Satoshi, the carnivore diet, and everyone who's done the research and leg work to figure these things out. 35. Now I really want to read more Bitcoin books and maybe get some Bitcoin merch. Though that would paint a target on me for anyone who might want to steal Bitcoin from people... I guess I'll try to wear orange more? Lol! 36. Maybe I should look into the capital gains tax thing and think about conversion for really huge purchases that can't be done directly or indirectly in Bitcoin. 37. Borrowing based on my Bitcoin could be a solid idea for those huge purchases... 38. Time to upgrade to some better hardware for my Bitcoin node. I've got an old computer that used to be on 24/7 and it had no issue. I'll just use that. 39. Sweet, it's up and now I'm confident that my uptime has been thoroughly extended. The external hard drive attached to my Raspberry Pi was getting a little full anyways. 40. In emergencies, credit cards might be nice to use in conjunction with Bitcoin if I'm not going to have any dollars in a bank account in the far future. But that would trigger a capital gains tax and I'll have to pay back the card. Not gonna play with fire until I know what I'm getting myself into. Eeeh, best to wait and see if things change on the US dollar side of things... 41. Let's put that credit card idea on the shelf for now... I want to get back to stacking more sats.

For most of my life I never spoke my mind on the internet. I used to never give my opinions nor my thoughts. Now that had to do with two things. One is due to family trouble and the other is due to poor health. I've only recently started to give my thoughts here on nostr and in YouTube comments. Ever since those family troubles got eliminated, I started using Bitcoin and going carnivore. Through Bitcoin and carnivore I've become more secure in myself and confident. I've started to speak up, tell the truth, and discern who is worth listening to and conversing with.
