You know, I think I want to nuke my NOSTR account. I honestly if I were to read my previous notes I would cringe. At least I can try to be better now. Whatever that means... Let's put "not cringing in the future" as a goal. 🤷‍♂️

So a while ago my lightning channel closed. This is fine since I had a whole year where my node was down and trying to play catch up to the chain. My node was stuck at a certain spot and I accidentally deleted a lot of blocks. It got me thinking, if I had two lightning nodes, I could create a channel between both of them and then ensure that I can re-balance my channels such that all my sats could be redirected into the channel between my own two nodes. This way I don't step on anybody's toes on the lightning network by closing channels. I've used Boltz in the past but the last time I tried to use the service my node never found a route to the Boltz. Any suggestions, considerations, or tips regarding Boltz or using two self-owned nodes as a way of settle sats on-chain?

It's taken me months but I'm finally stacking sats again. I think I've figured it out... I know what I need to do in order to maximize my stack of sats. I have to start holding $0. I guess that means I'll be using credit cards for small, more immediate needs that I can't directly or indirectly buy with Bitcoin yet. I'll be living on the edge with credit cards, but at least I'll get sats every time a bill demands that I pay the balance. I'll be forced to work and every time I've worked I've always made enough to save. This just makes it apparent what money is needs to be immediately spent and what money I can save. I thought having a "buffer" of dollars in my bank account was a safe idea. Wrong, it's a trap. I never ended up stacking sats because the buffer became a moving target and I could never figure it out. From now on, I'm holding zero dollars. All I need to do is find out if you can still add gift cards to Google's Wallet app for tap to pay transactions. Right now I'm not able to use the wallet app at all. So I'll either need to get new phone or fix my current one. You know the, "this device doesn't meet security standards" bullshit. Ya that either needs to be fixed or I need to play the planned obsolescence game and get a new phone.

My Bitcoin node is back in action! It only took 2 days after Christmas to re-sync. I guess Christmas wishes come true! 🤣
