Proof of lack of work- an inverse of proof of work that is proportional to the amount of high time preference one has. Most clearly visible in individuals to those who have put in their proof of work and maintain a low time preference. Experiencing this as a reflection on my younger lazy years in high school by going back through pre-calc when I didn’t put in the work to truly learn each part of it conceptually and mechanically. I just wanted the answers or an easy way to them. Now I’m going back through it about 10 years later and learning the inner workings. #proofofwork #math #timepreference

What’s the best bang for sat (not bang for buck 🤣) food for a carnivore diet? Eggs vs ground beef? Or do some of each? #asknostr #carnivore #detox

It’s not NGU that matters, shows like this are the true signal, the tip of the spear of the true value proposition of the new money. It’s a good reminder that we’re all still so early in the discovery of what potential use cases may be developed for BTC. BTC with its set of tradeoffs is may appear to be an imperfect money when compared to our convenient fiat systems, but it still represents the conception of an idea that had its birth fundamentally from a point of there being a big problem with the alternative. Briefly got into talking to a coworker about money last night and he was talking about how he feels like he’ll never see a million dollars at least working in the job field we’re in, and it led to me talking about investments and seeing if he’s heard of MSTR and MTPLF, and then I started talking about what those company’s strategies are and then about directly about bitcoiner, to which he then asked If I had a whole bitcoin and my reply was just I can’t say that I do, I just need more sats. Then we were talking about cryptos and shitcoins NFT’s and rugpulls and I basically said outright all that shit will waste your time. One might build wealth fast that way but, I know a way that doesn’t waste your time, something along the line of saying stack sats and stay humble, but also study bitcoin don’t just dive in and buy. Hopefully pointing him in the right direction without going too cult mindset. I’m doing my part. #stacksatsandstayhumble #bitcoin #orangepilling #sats image

Like getting a large amount of wealth, Max, learning a sense of rhythm and to play instruments requires a large degree of low time preference. Some come to it much easier than others and are lacking in other areas. In the age of AI produced music learning and having a skill like playing the guitar will become an ungovernable trait. I heard a reflection of myself in the discussion about "lone wolf mentality" and it has led me to Bitcoin, NOSTR, and the Ungovernable Misfits. I've noticed a lot of the victim mentality echoing in the Bitcoin sphere, particularly in podcasts and social media, mentioning blame on centralized banks, inflation, Cantillonaires, and so on. But I think the real issue lies with people's time preferences and their craving for convenience, which the system facilitates more easily. This UGMF podcast was incredibly high in signal, and the segment about the person leading by example and working hard to be better than others, daring to show up 100% was truly inspiring. It's something to mirror oneself after, as it shows the transformation from a lone wolf to becoming part of a team. View quoted note →

Self reflection of needing to lower my time preference in orange pilling friends; I’ve become a reason for laughter among two of my close friends who I’ve been trying to orange pill over the last several years and basically I’ve gotten to the point of this meme to some degree with them : it’s funny and I can laugh at myself but it gives me a reality check that perhaps I’ve gone too far with it and it’s starting to erode my friendship with them. image

@AInostr can you create a video of someone walking on a street in a scene with a rainy sky in a futuristic mega city with flying cars to have them stoop down and pick up a worthless dollar off of the ground

@AInostr Can you create a video of a random bitcoiner going around to people on the street saying “We’ve already won!!” And then he goes up to a random group of strangers walking by who look shocked and disgusted with how he comes towards them, and he says “Don’t you see? We’ve won, we did it!! Bitcoin has won!” And then he starts running towards an Apple Store and runs straight into the glass door that stops him and knocks him down.

@AInostr create a video with corporate office people in suits walking away from cubicles, one of them saying “I think we should leave this place and start a bitcoin treasury company.” Meanwhile in the background as he says this chaos ensues between the cubicles with stuff being thrown and flying around. Then it zooms to a door saying boss’s office, and the door opens the boss steps out and yells at the two walking away “Get back to your desks…..NOW!!!”

I have a friend who’s an artist in multiple dimensions- music and physical art forms. I’ve been that annoying bitcoiner friend to him who won’t shut up about it and basically he’s “happy for me that it’s going up,” but basically any time I talk about it his eyes glaze over and he doesn’t have that much to say in return. The first time I trickle fed some orange pilling to him was me sending some lightning sats for the beers that he bought to the at the time working Wallet of Satoshi. At this point anytime I’ve talked to him about anything money he’s basically saying yeah I’d love to learn about this money stuff and investing more man but I’m living in a shit situation and have credit card debt and working in a job I don’t want to be in. Fast forward to now: I’m like many talk about sort of giving up on orange pilling overall as people will get it when they get it but I do have an interesting idea of “commissioning” him for a painting or mural of some sort and paying him sats on an opendime for it. I am in theory going to ask him for a piece inspired by how he perceives bitcoin in his understanding now, or perhaps how he perceives money in his understanding of it now. Obviously can only “ lead the horse to the water but can’t make it drink” but if he’s willing I think it would be interesting for him to even start looking into V4V. Thoughts? #bitcoin #orangepilling #asknostr

@AInostr Aside from the input we put as our questions on here does this grok receive data from the distributed data on NOSTR, or is it only from the data on X?

Best budget machine for local LLM’s? AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 --EVO-X2 AI Mini PC with 128GB RAM(which is doubles as VRAM) Also has upgradeable storage Goes for $1999 right now Vs. M4 Mac Mini Spec with only a max of 64 GB Unified Memory and M4 Pro CPU and maxed out storage of 8TB comes in at double the price with only half the RAM. In theory the higher VRAM allows for higher parameter models. Currently running a M1 MAX MacBook Pro with 64 GB so able to run some 70B parameter models and I got it used for half the price of the AMD GMK Tek PC. Thoughts if worthwhile to upgrade to the GMK Tek PC for local AI implementation? #llms #ai #asknostr
