Enjoying this book so far. Back to basics with learning to code. Been dabling with AI and Agents to do it for me but much better to understand what they are building so that I can tweak it and use it more effectively how I want. Goes with the Bitcoin mantra of #don’ttrustverify. #coding #python
In my journey of learning to become a dev after stumbling upon a free resource of plebdevs I am already well ahead of where I was going down the computer science education route. While concepts from that are important, I find paving my own path with to learning with free resources to be far more beneficial. I want to start some regular reflection posts on NOSTR about how my journey is going.
So far I’m reflecting even more on why I am interested in this sort of thing with a coming world of AI that basically builds any tool for you, and it’s coming down to the Bitcoin ethos if don’t trust, verify. While I will possibly never know as much as some of the people building BIPS, or even as the original cypherpunk ethos of cypherpunks build tools, it is a way to expand one’s own sovereignty by being able to more easily audit some FOSS projects out there or to even build some projects of my own.
I’m in this not so much as a means of seeking employment but as a purely hobbyist and power user mentality. #dev #softwaredev #foss #don’ttrustverify #sovereignty #vibevode
Narrative goes like “Every company needs a Bitcoin strategy… every company needs an AI strategy… every company needs an Openclaw strategy…” and so on. These are new innovations that have a lot of potential impact for the future, but what about the individual.. how can one leverage these for their future in terms of sovereignty? Perhaps we don’t see it yet but maybe they and individuals will need a NOSTR strategy. All of them seem to link together. #ai #claude #sovereignty #openclaw #clawdbot #bitcoin #nostr
Going to try to get commits up every day if I can. Until it is basically muscle memory. GitHub is pretty cool! I don’t even care about getting a job as a dev, this is a cool hobby, helps one learn more about the software they use, and can bring about a level of personal sovereignty that being a script kiddie or a sheeple can’t. Thanks @plebdevs.com
Following the @plebdevs.com getting started course. Great so far! Got my IDE set up, GitHub and git set up and mad my first repo and several commits in learning the flow of things!
NGU is not the point. Sure more value can buy you more things including your own health in some circumstances. Sovereignty and freedom is the point and most people are missing that. The ability to make immutable transactions in transference of value units in a finite money will become more and more expensive as time goes on into the future. Bitcoin is for anyone but not for everyone. Daily reminder to self that number go up isn’t that important. #bitcoin #nostr #freedom #sovereignty #sovereignindividual
How cool would it be to create an open source coffee maker/ hot water machine that uses asics primarily for heat? Thinking of using 256 foundation designs to create the heat sources. #heatpunk
Good friend of mine who’s a low key maxi has probably the best perspective, every time I send him a meme or message about bitcoin he doesn’t even know price went up or price went down. Currently given circumstances he doesn’t stack sats but he doesn’t check it he just knows it will be there when he wants to come back to it. He goes on living life outside of this circle and in the mean time HODLs, but down let it effect him all that much.
Trying to start fresh with openclaw but running into some major hurdles in downloading it from the prompt that installs homebrew and nodejs along side it #openclaw
AI is the forefront of a completely new UI for computer technology whether people have learned that yet or not. It’s not just applicable to engineers. It creates a new sort of calculator, albeit one more prone to errors in current form than a TI84 calculator.
