I love what Odysee has done over the years, and I still support it for now, but things aren't looking good when the co-founder leaves because of the way things are going. Julian also says that they're in major financial trouble, which makes things worse.
I still use Odysee but I haven't uploaded anything aside from articles, and I haven't even posted any comments in a while either. As such, for now, I've decided to go back to using LBRY's desktop client. For those who don't know, LBRY was what Odysee was originally built upon but the meddling SEC destroyed the entity behind LBRY in a total farce of a case.
Much of LBRY (as a program and protocol) still exists, however, and you can still use the desktop application fully. It's not a perfect solution, nor is it necessarily going to work long-term, but I see this as an excellent opportunity for someone to fork the original repos and merge it into the Nostr ecosystem somehow, at least to some extent.
I'm far from a skilled developer, so I'm not going to be able to be the one to do it. I'm learning Python (which the SDK is built in) and I have a tiny bit of experience with some C-likes such as JavaScript and C#, so I can't hope to pull it off any time soon, but I hope someone out there can at least fork LBRY and turn it into something now that Odysee appears to be in trouble.
