Not much beats the American takes on Mexican and Chinese dishes. Easily my two favorite types of food.

I keep seeing the "Nostr is dead" memeing and honestly, it feels like a portion of the Nostr userbase actually believes that it's dead or dying. I don't know about them but I remember when the web was still pretty new. I was born just a little too late to remember its initial release but I remember when WWW 1.0 was still a novel concept. I was there during the days when social media was still based of forums, user boards and chat services. I remember when Facebook was something completely new. Nostr feels like those days to me. It recaptures the magic of the net back when I was still a kid, except this time, the tech is built on rock-solid existing tech and the builders are some of the most creative and driven individuals I've encountered. As some put it, we're still early. Nostr isn't even a decade old yet. Get involved: if you can't build tech on top of Nostr, tell people about it. Post content with some variety. Make this space something that cannot be ignored. #nostr #tech #protocol #web #decentralized

I'm really liking the way this Ditto theme looks on my profile. I was originally looking for a theme that either matched or got close to matching the color palette of my profile pic and cover image, but I had a hard time finding one I liked. This one, with the green, contrasts very well with the blue and actually fits the vibe I was aiming for. View quoted note →

Of all the retro computing channels I follow, The 8-Bit Guy is one of my favorites because he does more than just show off retro tech and tell stories: he explains the literal electrical engineering and computer science behind what he's showing off. I've learned so much more about the building blocks of computing simply by going back to the start and watching videos of tech from the days when it had fewer layers of complicated tech stacked on top of the rudimentary aspects. #computing #computerscience #electronics #retro

Having grown up on Kamelot during Roy's era, and remembering what it was like when he left the band and went silent, seeing this performance is absolutely surreal. One of the greatest singers in human histoy. #music #musicstr #metal

When he said "I'm the prince of failure", I really felt that 🙃

I still use Proton Lumo for 99% of my AI usage but I have to say that Perplexity Computer really is immensely helpful for gathering information and sources to check when researching an emergent situation like PHP2Shell. #ai #perplexity #php #php2shell

Seems I seriously need to work on my grip strength because I just embarrassed myself trying to open a jar of salsa... in my defense, nobody else seems to be open it, but still. 🙃

Any sane person would agree that the TSA needs to to. Security is important but they are notoriously corrupt. View quoted note →

It's crazy to me how chicken smells absolutely horrendous when it's cooking, yet steak opens the floodgates of heaven when it's cooking.

You know, mushrooms TASTE great but that texture is just hard to swallow (literally and figuratively)...

I like to think "be ready to give an answer for the hope that you have found" applies to more than "just" salvation, but to the optimistic worldview Christians ought to subscribe to... Problem is, nobody ever asks me why I'm hopeful. They just assume I'm ignorant or a blind fool.

This speech from Rick is so stupidly applicable today, especially with the sorts of people I've been encountering on Nostr as of late. "Things don't get better because you want them to. Starting right now, we have to live in the real world."

So, the whole Archive idea on Ditto is amazing: access to Internet Archive games/applications all within the client. Nostr as an "everything app" is amazing, in theory. However, at least for me, I can't seem to get it to work. I click the play button and it just brings up a small Internet Archive embedded window saying "Page not found". Is this on my end or is that feature broken for now? 🤔 #asknostr #ditto

"But if Naturalism is to be accepted we have a right to demand that every single thing should be such that we see, in general, how it could be explained in terms of the Total System." - CS Lewis, Miracles
