In my honest opinion, I think The Matrix Resurrections is extremely underrated. Flawed, yes, and not necessary for the overarching story, but I enjoyed it. If not for the recast of Morpheus, I honestly felt it was really enjoyable as a sort of epilogue to the characters of Neo and Trinity. I didn't even mind the recast of Smith because that was central to the plot.

I started using this program and so far, I'm agreeing with DT, it's incredible. It has a clean UI, all of the sort of info I love about Breezy Weather on Android, and it's coded mostly in Python (my preferred language) to boot.
Definitely give it a try if you haven't and want a solid FOSS weather app on your Linux distro.

I really need to get back to watching Mr. Robot. I finished season 1 and absolutely loved it, not just because it's a hacker thriller (and I'm studying to be an ethical hacker myself), but also because the writing, cinematography, acting and soundtrack are all flawless.

Proton's AI service, Lumo, has really come a long way since it first launched. When it first came out, I found it relatively useless compared to the big tech LLMs and even Venice AI (another privacy-respecting AI service), which also was lagging behind at that point.
Now, Lumo is my go-to in most cases unless I'm using AI to do something that I want to save long-term (query history is retained for only 7 days on the free plan) or if I need a more advanced model, in which case I tend to use Venice (or Perplexity, if I'm out of daily queries on Venice).
It's good to know that we have a solid AI that's end-to-end encrypted and private by default.
Venice is also a good option and they actually offer some E2EE for models that support it, but their free plan is incredibly restrictive compared to Proton and I'm sorry, but I just can't justify paying an $18+/month subscription for AI when I only use it for troubleshooting, research and as a brainstorming aid... especially not when Lumo is giving me great answers as of late and its subscription is $8 cheaper if I wanted to go that route.

I'm the last guy to give a pass to Sam Altman and OpenAI, but this is just retarded. AI can be really helpful for giving you a general idea of trouble shooting symptoms. But if you're relying on it for medical advice for more serious conditions, then you really aren't that bright. This case should end up being thrown out because it really isn't their fault in this situation.

So, I may have found two means of buying Bitcoin that might actually work with my near-total allergy to KYC.
Fingers crossed, because if it works, I'm finally going to be able to get into Bitcoin (and, by extension, Monero) more than just through the zaps I occasionally get here on Nostr.
At the same time, I'm not getting my hopes up: I've put an absurd amount of effort into researching and trying to find methods that don't require me to upload my ID, my SSN, a multi-angle scan of my face, my left kidney and my firstborn child, just to buy $50 worth of Bitcoin. So far, my search has always come up empty (even when it seemed promising), but hopefully that will change soon.
Thonny is a decent IDE for coding MicroPython projects, but I really wish they'd either get rid of or LET you get rid of the Ukraine flag in the menu bar. It's just obnoxious.
Why do I need a country's flag in my menu constantly? It's fine if you, as a project, want to support relief efforts for people impacted by things like war but ruining an otherwise decent UI with a constant reminder doesn't make me want to donate. Just like with ads: the more I see 'em, the angrier I get with them and the less I want to buy the product in the ad.
