I'd say it is. I wouldn't pay full price for it right now because of the price hike, but if you can get it for a decent rate, it's definitely worth grabbing unless you're planning on playing the most recent AAA games on the go. But if you want a very solid Linux gaming PC to take with you, it's a great choice. Plus, the OLED screen is gorgeous, the entire thing is designed to be user repairable (unlike ASUS and modern Lenovo) and the ergonomics are still unbeaten.

I know the OSI Model offers more complexity with classifications and such, but I massively prefer the TCP/IP Model because it's simpler to recall in your memory. #networking
I have a free trial of Amazon Music right now and I'm reminded of why I hate streaming. The app sucks, the audio quality is sub-par, why would I ever pay for a subscription to it? ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
VLC with local storage, Bandcamp with some downloads, and RiPlay for remaining streaming needs. Those three are all I need.
Anyone having major issues with Quad9 these past two days? I'm having DNS issues and I can't determine whether it's an upstream Quad9 issue, a problem with my Pi-hole server, or if it's a local configuration error. ๐ค #asknostr #networking #dns #quad9
I just narrowly avoided a disaster.
I'm not sure how but apparently, when I was trying to do a backup with one of my redundant drives (which I hadn't run a backup with since late last year), all of my Obsidian vaults got rolled back to their state in late 2025.
I use Obsidian as my primary notes and documentation hub for EVERYTHING, including professional matters. Had I lost this entire year's worth of notes and documentation, it would've been disastrous for me.
Sure, I had other backup drives but for those vaults, I had started relying more on cloud syncing due to the fact that I need them on multiple devices. That means that the other backup drives might have had slightly more updated backups of the vaults, but not nearly as recent as I would've needed. That was a mistake on my part, but it also saved me.
I was able to revert to a new version of the vaults, one as recently updated as yesterday. Everything is back to normal.
I really need a better backup solution than just manually backing up files on external hard drives. I wish I had the money to set up a NAS solution, but I simply don't. This is all I've got for now. Nonetheless, I'm absolutely going to have to figure out something like that, and have cold storage redundancy, because had I not had this option to revert to the updated versions of these vaults, it would've destroyed so much progress I've made in my career, my home lab and life in general.

#asknostr I mentioned a few days ago that I've been having several issues with #Amethyst and now, it seems I'm having issues with zapping people. I added my NWC string to the wallets menu, but I keep getting an error saying I couldn't resolve the address I'm trying to zap to. Any ideas on how to fix this?
I love Amethyst and want to keep using it, but lately, I've noticed four issues lately:
1. It keeps causing signer spam for various events, even ones I've approved as "always".
2. Sometimes, the app has major lag issues, like the framerate suddenly dips to single digits.
3. My custom reaction emojis keep getting reset almost constantly.
4. Feed algorithms simply don't load anymore.
These issues persist despite reinstalling. Any ideas on how to fix these? #asknostr
