all the nostr apps I worked on last year. kind of exhausted losing money on rent and cost of living every month though image

I stopped buying into the idea that nostr is different (culturally), it’s the same as any other social media if nostr is used to create social media. On the other hand, amazing technology that unlocks a lot of interesting experiences you couldn’t do before for other apps, like education technology.

I think im gonna give up on software entrepreneurship with Bitcoin and AI for a while. Not enough traction and a lot of burn out. Tried to do the right thing but idk, you really have to lean into some kind of grift with personality or capital in one form or another these days. Folks may disagree but that's like getting financial advice from a guy that made money off slot machines.

It’s strange how words sometimes change in meaning for subgroups of a population. Words like “racist” and “scam” have changed. What troubles me is how this creates mental prisons of cynicism for certain people. Racism, for many, has transitioned from an excessive prejudice of a people to someone who doesn’t prioritize the struggles of others. The word scam went from a deliberate con to something that meets below the expectations of a consumer. Such changes end up producing misery and can be found just about anywhere. Avoid those people.
