My wife asked me if I could find any counterpoints to the positive news I get about Bitcoin. As I listen to a lot of podcasts. I found a podcast shutting on crypto and it was a good listen. They talked about the rise of bitcoin citadels. Since Citadel is a common word in the space. I bit. So today I google them and find a true rabbit hole. The podcast said there would be a rise of exclusive citadels that bitcoiners only can enter. So I came across a site that said in 2025… “Winklevii, tragically, are among the most prominent Bitcoiners to be murdered for their holdings” The article was written on 2021. While possibly possible. I don’t see it as an actual negative of bitcoin. Just one persons fantasy of the future.

I feel like inflation is turning every company into slumlords. Employee morale is in the gutter. Meanwhile, I’m looking at lowering seed prices in 2026 and the quality is only getting better. https://www.growmilkweedplants.com

Francisco lives in Brazil and enjoys growing milkweed plants. He messages me concerned about starting seeds. Which is funny because he taught me how to germinate milkweed seeds in 2015.

Most “milkweeds” are thought to be in the genus Asclepias. However there are hundreds of non-Asclepias in the Apocynaceae family that are suitable host plants for monarch larvae (caterpillars). Honeyvine (Cynanchum laeve) is really popular with monarchs heading south. About 95% of monarchs hosting on plants in Oklahoma and Texas in September are using Honeyvine. Here I am planting two in my front yard so they can climb up the railing next summer. It might help keep the porch shaded and the root cellar below cooler.

Fee rate would be lower if more customers used the BTC Pay option at checkout. With lower fees I can offer lower prices. By saving in bitcoin your earnings are worth more over time. People will come around to bitcoin, right? image

Horsetail milkweed are showing all their sexy parts. All Asclepias plants have complex pollination and every flower has both female and male parts but they are called stigmatic chamber and pollinia. image

Biggest takeaway from Shark Week this year is to not wear black wetsuits that are indistinguishable, by a white shark, from seal skin.

Commonly found in the Appalachian Mountains. Gonolobus suberosus or Anglepod is an interesting milkvine that is a host plant of the monarch butterfly. Will trade my Sat for your seeds if it grows on your property. image

Positive feedback from customers is always welcome. Asclepias californica is hard to grow. This one is looking lush! image
