There are already 6 merchants who accept bitcoin in my community. There were zero this morning. Businesses are tired of the fees as well. Wouldn’t be surprised if they promote using bitcoin like they have been for cash.

I have started emailing merchants in the community that I know use Square system. @jack @miles 🌞 This was the email I got back this morning! Super excited to try this out soon! Hoping they figure it out asap so I can try this out! More to come.

Visa and MasterCard have entered the chat. Once this begins to gain traction, I can see Visa and MasterCard lowering their fees to compete with Bitcoin. They aren’t going to simply lie down and take the beating. Mark my words.

If I’m a business owner, I would hate seeing the thousands+ being taken from my pocket each month. Simply because my customers choose to pay with a card instead of cash (Which was heavily promoted by the fiat banking system). You now have an opportunity to eliminate that fee until 2027 and only 1% after. This is a HUGE financial incentive to simply click a button to turn on Bitcoin payments. Even if you want $$.

@jack is there a way to find companies that use Square as their POS system? I know you can see companies that currently accept Bitcoin through @Cash App, but it would be nice to know who has the systems. I know of one in my city, but I know there are more. I want to be able to search for them so I can start asking them about bitcoin payments.

I had never heard of Bitcoin prior to late 2020. I must have been living under a rock. I will say this - I was in the perfect state of mind when I first heard about it. I didn’t want to own stocks because I never trusted them. After reading the Bitcoin Standard, I called my wife and told her I needed as much money as possible. I have been a Bitcoin student ever since.

@Maple AI Just a heads up, I think there are some updates that need to be done on the time horizon of this app. It states that the current block reward for Bitcoin is 6.25 and we know that to be incorrect. When I told it that it wasn’t 6.25, it still gave me the information reflecting that the block reward was 6.25 instead of searching deeper to find out that it is in the 3’s.

I have to get this off my chest. Whether you read it or not, I need to write it down. You ever wonder if our government (USA) gaslights us into thinking we are the best country to live in by only showing us all the negative around the world? Telling us lies to keep us here while they poison our food, perpetually debase our currency to steal our time and energy, spray cancerous chemicals across the country, lie about the food and medicines that we use, and keep us arguing against each other to blind us from what’s happening in the background of our own government? We pay 50+% in state and federal taxes all while they print trillions anyways. Our government hasn’t worked for 36 days and are still getting paid while the blue collar government workers sit at home wondering if they are going to be able to feed their families. These people don’t give a fuck about you and me. We tax you when you die for crying out loud. I love my country, but I do not love the people running it. In fact, I genuinely hate them.
