Humans were never built for comfort. We were built for the tribe. For almost all of human history you lived and died inside a small group that needed you. You weren’t optional. If you slacked, people felt it. If you went down, people carried you. Every day your existence mattered to somebody in a way you could actually feel. Then we got soft and built safety walls and have never been more comfortable. You can go a whole week now without one single person actually needing you. That’s been quietly engineered in our time today. That’s why people are lonely sitting inside “paradise”. And it’s also why this place holds. nostr, bitcoin, the whole thing we’re doing here. It’s a tribe again as small as it may be. People who actually get each other, holding a line the outside world thinks is a joke. Mocked out there, welded together in here. You zap a stranger and suddenly he’s real to you. You hold through an 80% drawdown next to people doing the exact same thing and not flinching. We ALL have skin in the game. The comfortable world can’t manufacture this and it’s eating them alive. We rebuilt the tribe almost by accident, out of math and stubbornness, and the world hasnt even noticed yet.

The older I get, the easier it is to say I don’t know… Which is peculiar, since I used to know everything in my early to mid 20’s

A great Father’s Day!

Happy Father’s Day to the good men I’ve met here over the last three years. Most of you made me a better father and half of you don’t even know it. As a father goes, so goes his house. We’re the spine of the next generation, like it or not. Use the time you’ve got. Love your wife and raise kids who can stand on their own two feet and bow to no man. GM.
