Gm Nostr ☕️ Instead of trying to change the world today, be good leaven. Work behind the scenes, out of public view, to bring good to your people. Brighten others lives. Encourage your spouse. Listen to a friend. Counsel the hurting. Play with your kids. Be excellent at your vocation. #Nostr #coffeechain

You’re right that happiness as a feeling comes and goes. But there’s something deeper…joy rooted in covenant faithfulness. A covenant isn’t just a contract you can break when terms aren’t met. It’s a binding promise before God that says “I’m committed to you no matter what comes.” The key isn’t waiting to “be happy yourself” first. It’s choosing daily to love sacrificially, forgive quickly, and serve your spouse even when you don’t feel like it. Ironically, that’s often when the deeper satisfaction comes, not from chasing feelings, but from keeping your word. A happy marriage isn’t constant euphoria. It’s two people committed to dying to self, extending grace, and choosing each other again and again. The “happiness” that blesses kids comes from witnessing parents who respect each other, laugh together, resolve conflict well, and demonstrate covenant love through hard seasons. It is hard work. But the couples who make it aren’t the ones who started out most compatible. They’re the ones who refused to give up and learned to love beyond feelings. View quoted note →

One of the best things a mom and dad can do for their kids is give them the gift of happily married parents.

You don’t lose power by staying private. You lose it by needing to be seen.

Humans are moral agents with the capacity to choose discipline over comfort, delayed gratification over immediate pleasure, and perseverance over surrender, regardless of starting conditions. The “trap” is real in that sin has corrupted all institutions and we inherit unequal circumstances. But the greater trap is the lie that circumstances determine destiny. Throughout history, people in far worse conditions have risen through character, sacrifice, and right choices. The path of least resistance is seductive precisely because it offers an external explanation that removes personal accountability. It’s easier to blame systems than to wake up early, work unglamorous jobs, say no to distractions, and build slowly over years. Most people capable of escaping poverty choose comfort and excuses over the painful road of transformation.

Build resilience into your expectations. Let the noise be what it is, the sound of boundaries being redrawn, of new territory being mapped. Your task is not to silence the critics but to continue the work that made them notice you in the first place. Success without opposition would suggest you have achieved nothing worth opposing.

GM ☕️ “People who pride themselves on their “complexity” and deride others for being ‘“smplistic” should realize that the truth is often not very complicated. What gets complex is evading the truth.” — Thomas Sowell

The Bitcoin Rabbit Hole: A Journey in 12 Stages Stage 1: “It’s just internet money for criminals” - You dismiss it completely while your cousin won’t shut up about it at Thanksgiving. Stage 2: The Curiosity - Someone mentions the price and you think “wait, ONE Bitcoin costs WHAT?” You Google it. Fatal mistake. Stage 3: The Skeptical Research - You read a few articles to prove it’s a scam. Instead, you learn about the 21 million supply cap. Your brain starts tingling. Stage 4: The YouTube Vortex - You watch one explainer video. Then another. It’s 3 AM and you’re watching Andreas Antonopoulos explain Byzantine Generals. You don’t understand it but you can’t stop. Stage 5: The First Book - You pick up “The Bitcoin Standard” by @Saifedean Ammous . Suddenly you’re angry about everything you were never taught about money. You start ranting about the Cantillon Effect at dinner parties. Stage 6: The Orange Pill Hits - You buy your first $50 in Bitcoin. You check the price 47 times that day. You’re now that person you used to mock. Stage 7: The Deep Dive - You tear through “The Fiat Standard,” “Layered Money” by Nik Bhatia, and “The Price of Tomorrow” by @Jeff Booth . You realize the rabbit hole has a basement. With more rabbit holes. Stage 8: The Evangelism Phase - You try to orange-pill everyone. Your friends avoid you. Your family changes the subject. You don’t care because you just finished “Thank God for Bitcoin” and feel spiritually aligned. Stage 9: The Technical Obsession - You read “Mastering Bitcoin” by Andreas Antonopoulos and “Grokking Bitcoin” by Kalle Rosenbaum. You sort of understand how nodes work. You definitely don’t understand cryptographic signatures but you’re pretending you do. Stage 10: The Philosophy Era - “The Sovereign Individual” rewires your brain. You read Ammous’s “Principles of Economics” and suddenly have opinions about Austrian economics. You’ve become insufferable. Stage 11: The Humility Reset - You realize how little you actually know. You re-read everything. You start listening instead of preaching. You understand that sound money is a multi-generational journey. Stage 12: The Builder/HODLer - You’re stacking sats, running a node, or building on Bitcoin. You’re still learning. You’ll always be learning. The rabbit hole has no bottom. Plot twist: You’re never leaving. Welcome home

You can measure the health of any system by how it reacts to truth. If truth demands punishment the system is already sick. If the truth is destroyed or buried the system has entered the final stage where narrative matters more than reality. That is when the rot becomes irreversible. The real lesson is simple. Institutions that cannot tolerate sunlight eventually lose the ability to see at all.

Your tax dollars fund millionaires’ groceries because bureaucrats can’t be bothered to close an obvious scam. A millionaire in Minnesota collected $6,000 in food stamps. Multiple lottery winners pocketed taxpayer funded benefits. People with six figure assets are getting SNAP and it’s all perfectly legal This is what institutional rot looks like. Fix the damn system.

The classical definition of sovereignty is straightforward…supreme authority within a territory, with monopolistic control over the legitimate use of force. No external power exercises authority within sovereign borders without explicit, revocable permission that the sovereign can withdraw at will. By this standard, foreign military operations on your soil represent either a compromise of sovereignty or evidence that your government prioritizes interests other than those of its citizens. Washington’s Farewell Address wasn’t merely advice but a warning born from experience: “Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence… the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake.” Jefferson advocated “peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none.” America itself has allowed foreign military forces and international alliances to operate on U.S. soil, which means either: 1. The U.S. is not truly sovereign, OR 2. The U.S. government is colluding with foreign powers against the interests of the American people

Suffering has a way of stripping everything else away. The career, the possessions, the carefully built life we think defines us. All of it fades when tragedy strikes or when we walk alongside someone in their deepest pain. If you haven’t faced suffering yet, now is the time to wrestle with why it exists. Not later, not in the middle of crisis when you’re gasping for answers. Build your foundation now. Understand the God who is sovereign over both joy and sorrow, who doesn’t flinch at our hardest questions. Don’t wait until you’re drowning to reach for Him. Come now, while there’s space to think and wrestle and know Him. Build your theology of suffering before you need it, so that when the inevitable comes, you’re not scrambling for meaning but resting in a God you already know and trust. Life is more fragile than we admit. The peace we need doesn’t come from avoiding suffering but from knowing the One who holds it all in His hands.Gm ☕️ #Coffeechain #ChristAlone
