One of the most underappreciated aspects of Nostr is the quality of disagreement that occurs here. Setting aside technical debates like knot versus Core (which themselves demonstrate how substantive discussion can happen), what strikes me most is the absence of personal destruction as a rhetorical strategy. On legacy platforms, disagreement has become synonymous with character assassination. The algorithm rewards outrage, the architecture encourages pile ons, and the incentive structure makes demolishing your opponent more valuable than understanding their position. Every debate becomes a referendum on someone’s worth as a human being rather than an examination of ideas. Nostr offers something different, not because its users are inherently more virtuous, but because the protocol itself removes many of the perverse incentives that corrupt discourse elsewhere. There are no engagement metrics to maximize, no algorithmic amplification of controversy, no central authority to appeal to for the suppression of dissent. You can mute, you can block, but you cannot mobilize a platform against someone. This creates space for intellectual honesty. People can be wrong without being evil. Arguments can be heated without being personal. The goal becomes persuasion or mutual understanding rather than social annihilation. The test of any communication medium is not whether everyone agrees, but whether disagreement can occur without degrading into tribal warfare. By that measure, Nostr is passing a test that centralized social media has catastrophically failed. This alone makes it worth being here

Why do Kettlebell workouts? Because kettlebell training forces your core to stabilize against asymmetric loads and rotational forces in ways that isolated ab work never will. A strong, functional core isn’t built through crunches but through resisting movement while generating power from your hips. Today’s WOD 4x10 single DL @53lbs 4x8 single arm swing @53lbs 4x8 single arm ballistic rows @53lbs 4x 40 sec suitcase holds @53lbs 3x20 heavy Russian twists @53lbs ( https://video.nostr.build/85c2fe86fe536bfe96abadcac1abb075626d2e2f7244e6bec44a8407982e1aba.mp4Finisher) 10 Min EMOM -12 KB swings -5 KB snatches #FitnessStr #Fitness #workout

Good morning. Growth happens when you’re willing to feel uncomfortable and try things that scare you a little. The best versions of ourselves are always waiting just beyond the boundaries of what feels safe and familiar.

The US govt is spending $18.6 billion per week just on interest. Not defense. Not infrastructure. Not healthcare. Just interest payments to bondholders. That’s $2.66 billion per day. Every single day. Forever. And it’s accelerating. By 2026, interest becomes the second largest line item in the federal budget, surpassing Medicare. By 2035, it hits $1.8 trillion annually. That’s $34.6 billion per week. The people calling Bitcoin “risky” want you to hold dollars while the government openly publishes projections showing they’ll pay more in interest than they collect in corporate taxes. They want you to keep saving in a currency whose issuer is mathematically required to debase it. That’s not risk management. That’s Stockholm syndrome. There’s no time to wait. Stack vehemently.

The virtue we should seek is not inaction but right action informed by wisdom. It is the courage to steward what has been given, to speak truth when silence would be easier, to build when destruction is simpler, to forgive when bitterness would be more natural. These are active choices.

One of the most important uses of this social protocol, in my opinion, is fostering camaraderie. Naturally, online interaction cannot supplant the depth of in person friendships. Yet there exists a form of tribal networking here on Nostr that proves both useful and edifying. This mode of connection holds considerable value, particularly in an age where finding one’s intellectual or ideological community often transcends geographic boundaries.

Money has physics, and when you print it, inflate it, or conjure it from nothing, you’re not creating wealth. You’re diluting energy. The laws of thermodynamics apply…energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred. Bitcoin is the first monetary system that respects these laws. Fixed supply. Provable scarcity. Unforgeable costliness. No central authority can violate its conservation principles. It’s money that obeys physics.

A smile and two words, “good morning” accomplish what hours of conversation sometimes cannot. They say your existence is not incidental to me. Your presence registers. The world is different because you are in it. This recognition feels essential because it is essential. We are social creatures who find meaning through connection, and there is no purer connection than one offered before either person has decided who they need to be that day. Perhaps what we truly crave is not the greeting itself but the evidence it provides. Evidence that we matter to someone beyond our utility or accomplishments. Evidence that being alive and being here is enough. In a world that constantly asks us to justify our existence through productivity and achievement, a morning acknowledgment offers something radical…unconditional recognition. So when someone looks at you with warmth and says “good morning,” they are doing more than observing the time of day. They are performing a small act of witness, confirming that you have returned to the shared experience of being alive, and that your return is noted and celebrated. May we all be fortunate enough to wake to such grace.☕️

Every once in awhile a Nostr post hits. This one isn’t going to be popular and I know why. It’s ok. But I pray one day it does. Today’s the Lords day. Get your family to church and worship. One day you’ll thank me.
