🇷🇺 RUSSIA FINALLY JUST MADE REGULATED #BITCOIN TRANSACTIONS LEGAL

Somebody could be recording Lightning traffic right now, betting a future quantum computer will crack it open. A team from East Texas A&M and three other universities just built PQLN to guard against that, a post quantum layer for Lightning's gossip, connections, invoices, and payment onions. It runs on rust lightning next to normal nodes and adds at most a third of a millisecond. It's a preprint, channel funds still wait on Bitcoin itself, and gossip gets heavier. But somebody built it and tested it on real nodes. Read it and make it better.

If they call their control "PROTECTIVENESS," ask whether their protection expands or reduces your freedom.

My new Mantra… WHEN IN DOUBT, ZAP IT OUT

Someone asked me what I actually want now. I didn't have some big answer ready. I just said, A life that doesn't feel like I'm always bracing for something. A love I don't have to double check. Peace that shows up without me having to chase it down. Then Christ found me and I discovered it’s a nowhere but in Him alone. #ToChristAlone That's it. That's the whole list.

GM anons. If you were lucky enough to open your eyes this morning and still have breath in your lungs, that's the first thing worth being grateful for, and it only gets better from there. When you roll over and see your wife or husband, be grateful. When your kids come dragging into the kitchen looking for breakfast, be grateful for them and for the fact that there's something to put in front of them. Same with the job. Some mornings it's hard to feel it, but having a career you get to go work at is a gift plenty of people would take in a heartbeat. And when you open Nostr and see all the folks you've gotten to know on here, or you pick up something new you didn't know yesterday, or you've got a few options sitting in front of you instead of none, be grateful for that too. Somewhere out there today somebody woke up without any of it. I'm as guilty as anyone of moaning and groaning about whatever's wrong that day, and there's usually something. But when I take a few minutes after my feet hit the floor to remember what I've been given, I end up with a lot more gratitude than I deserve. We're all in this life thing together whether we like it or not. We can encourage and hold each other up, or we can do what the rest of the world does and tear each other apart. I'll take the first one. So be grateful today, and go encourage somebody while you're at it. The world's merciless enough as it is, so we might as well be as civil to each other as we can.

Lately I actually read the terms on almost everything I open. Apps, accounts, updates, that little checkbox nobody reads. And every time, somewhere in my head, I'm saying fck no. They want my location to show me the weather. My contacts so I can send a message. A license to everything I post, forever, in any media "now known or later developed." We click agree because the only other option used to be going without. The terms end with us.

Whether it's a protocol, a machine, a house, or a relationship, maintenance is always cheaper than repairing. What you don't maintain, you eventually lose

Sometimes I just look up and say thank you. Life isn't easy, but I'm still standing, still moving, still blessed in ways I don't say out loud enough. Gratitude doesn't mean everything's perfect, it means you notice what's good even while you're carrying what's hard.

Logic gets you from A to Z. It takes what you know and tells you what follows. But logic can't hand you the idea. It can only test it. Imagination is where new ideas come from, and the biggest breakthroughs sounded crazy until someone proved them. Use imagination to decide what's worth building. Use logic to make sure it holds.
