So yesterday my car got towed to the dealership and they called me and let me know it’s an electronic issue with the computer system- the communication relays aren’t communicating properly and they said they were going to try to figure out today (day 2) what’s going on again I obviously know the symptoms (Christmas tree dashboard resulting in total system failure) So I was like “say no more” and spent a lot of last night diagnosing this with Grok and I’m almost 100% sure that I have figured out exactly what part is bad (CAN BUSS CONNECTOR), why it’s bad (notoriously shitty soldering job on these parts in my make and model), how to get the part and fix it DIY So I texted my service guy this morning and walked him through what I think is wrong and what I want him to check And if I’m right… from now on I stg I do all my own car repairs and also Grok is integral to my life experience
