OK #asknostr, anyone have a browser-based Web highlighter extension that actually works? Lantern and Highlighter chrome extensions both feel like abandonware...

Anyone else notice #bitchat is really data-hungry? like, I'm literally just using this for a mesh network, and occasionally opening up a geohash channel, seeing no one is there, and promptly closing it? Somehow this thing is using 100's of mb's to a GB of data in a single day. Like, how is that even possible for an app that doesn't even have images?

The advantage of the small community of Nostr is how responsive all the developers are... I've genuinely enjoyed being able to provide UI feedback and see that be implemented in the apps I use. It's reminded me of my 1st choice major in college before switching to science, which was user interface design. There are so many little design choices, at the intersection of functionality and aesthetics, that make a digital interface feel smooth, welcoming, and fun. In subsequent years this discipline of UI design has been "corrupted" to serve apps designed for maximum value extraction from the user, to create "sticky" and addictive social media experiences rather than genuinely engaging and fulfilling ones. Now with Nostr we have a chance to right the ship of social media!

I like #amethyst but the UI is still very distinct from all other clients -- Some clients give you your "Following", and then maybe allow you to select some other list of users or hashtags you've created... Nothing really has the "give me following + All the lists + all the hashtags in one feed" option
