Hear me out: ~$700CAD for a home NAS kit isn’t terrible. The killer is going to be drives. I paid $190CAD for a 4TB IronWolf Pro a year ago. That same drive is now $280CAD. SSDs are even worse. RIP my home datacenter dreams 😭

The reason we think of space as the next frontier isn’t because we’ve explored and conquered all of Earth. We’re just not allowed to due to BANANA (Build Absolutely Nothing Anywhere Near Anything), which is empowered by a combination of crony capitalism and communism. Once we figure out how to ignore the BANANAs we’ll see another great era of exploration!
