Ich finde diesen Ansatz sehr problematisch. Hier wird davon ausgegangen, dass alle Leser dumm sind. Ich denke es ist ein liberalerer Ansatz, solche Falschmeldungen publik zu machen. Mir ist völlig klar, dass Falschmeldungen schneller die Runde machen, als es deren Berichtigung tun. Jedoch gehe ich davon aus, dass es im Interesse jeder einzelnen Person ist, sich an Informationsquellen zu orientieren, welche gute Faktenchecks durchführen und dadurch eine möglichst hohe rate an Faktenbasierten richtigen aussagen machen. Jedoch denke ich sollte der Gesetzgeber nicht strafen für falsche Aussagen aussprechen. Wir als Bürger haben eine Verantwortung und sollten diese nicht an den Staat abgeben. #theories are the result of good observations. When a theory allows to predict an output value based on given input values reliable, it can be that the theory is true. When there are cases, where a theory is untrue the whole theory is imperfect and therefore false. Clearly a theory can also define, where it can be used and where it can not be used. This specification has to be considered as well. But then the theory is only true, when these limitations are expressed as well. In the end this means it is very easy to proof a theory false, while it is dificult to proof a theory true. This is why factchecking is very effective and works. Since it proofs a story to be false. And once a story is logically falsified, the story could only be true, when the falsification would be false. This means, we should not evaluate a story based on the source but rather based on the facts it is based.

Thanks a lot for this very well balanced article to give a closer look to what freedom of speech means in the USA. 🫵 And it is so true what you state in the end. We as individuals should take the opportunity, read and understand our constitution and request the government to conform with it. Clearly in a good case, we directly try to live along these good principles. Quiet often we speek about the freedom of speech. I know the freedom to listen and to read makes a fragment of free speech. But could be a very important part. Since it is the one part in a discussion, where we can grow. With new ideas, we receive from others.
