I feel kind of buffeled to see this only now. Dept is simply an other form of money expansion. Therefore a very small (around 10%) of money expansion happens through printing money. The much bigger expansion is done by private banks through issuing credits to people and companies. And as lower the base rate, the more dept is created. The higher the base rate, the lower the newly issued credits.

Is it correct, that every form of money is nothing more than a conserve for trust? When someone offers me an effort, wile I relax, I use money to compensate this trust. Defnitly in the real world the amount of trust is not always equally shared in money. But in general one can frame it as a trust system for people that do not know eachother.
