DVM feeds work, but the request/response model is overkill for what's essentially a list of event IDs. I wrote up a simpler alternative using replaceable events: publishers maintain feed lists, clients just subscribe. View article →
So, what do we have to do to get a Nostr Optech going?
@Bitcoin Optech @David A. Harding @npub1zs07...uhyv @schmidty
I realized that @White Noise might have the largest developer team in Nostr, we're 11 developers now.
That's scary in two ways:
Maybe we're growing too fast.
Maybe the others are not growing fast enough.
In any case, we don't have time to waste, freedom tech must be delivered at scale and quickly, if we want to save the web and its people.
New research shows 11 of 21 "secure" messaging apps leak user data to Google's push notification servers - including 4 that leak message contents. None disclosed this in their privacy policies. Signal, WhatsApp, and Threema got it right.
We're working on a MIP for private notification architecture on iOS and Android for @White Noise, please review!

Lightning.Pub lets you share your Lightning node with friends, family, or customers using Nostr instead of traditional server infrastructure. No DNS, SSL certificates, or reverse proxy configuration required - just Nostr relays with NIP44 encryption.
It wraps LND, provides multi-user accounts with LNURL support, and automates channel management through LSP integrations. Runs on minimal hardware using neutrino. Users connect via ShockWallet by pasting an nprofile.
A simpler path for Uncle Jim setups.

The new @GrapheneOS Android QPR1 release adds some new UI features like compressing the notification buttons and turning on/off Bluetooth with a single click.
However, the WiFi button still has the same behavior as before, it opens the pop-up selector where you have to click again to turn it on/off.
@Final is that expected or a missing feature? I'd love to be able to turn it off with a single click.
